Haha yeah chances are i won't put the standard number plate back on. But I have done it before, on an R6 I bought new about 15 years ago. When I traded it in back at Yammy they wanted it put back to standard, so that's what I did. I probably had that in the back of my mind when I did it. Like I said it's irrelevant now anyway as I have every intention of hanging onto this bike long term.....she's a keeper
That's taken you a while to decide on this mod hasn't it Kevin? How long have you had your SP now? Around March like me if I recall? You'll be well pleased with the improved look. @PauloHRC might even visit and lend a hand - if he's not riding!
My wire connections have arrived. I found something Screwfix didn't have and had to resort to Amazon.
Thank goodness you explained the pic. On first glance I thought it was a DNA test kit so you could check the family tree to ascertain if you have specific 'logic chromosomes' to enable you to successfully fit your new tail tidy!!
Plates on ready for the weekend!! 7x5 ........what do we think?? Was worried it would look too small as the TT is 8 inches wide and the standard indicators are quite long, I think it looks pretty good though!
You giving it a first blast then this weekend @PauloHRC ....is it 600 miles to 1st service? Is there a restrictor on it till then?
Yeah but won't be a 'proper' ride, just local to me. 600 miles to first service, no restrictions. Was just told to take it easy, especially on the tyres!
Ah right...the HP4 was restricted till removed on first service and wouldnt let you access slick i think it was....so I wondered if they'd done the same with the new SP''s.
Honda has no 'conventional' running-in period other than for the first 300 miles to: Avoid full-throttle starts and acceleration Avoid hard braking and rapid downshifts Ride conservatively. ref: Pg 16, 2017 - 18 Owner's Manual Quite a contrast to the 'olden days' of keeping below certain rev limits in various stages.
Looks like it'll have to wait till next weekend Oh well, Got other bike related things to Do, Got to go back to Hunts to pick up my Chinese fairings after they kindly put all the originals back on. Need to pick up my new charger while I'm there! So a set of Matte blacks going up for Sale later today. Will list on the forum but I have to say I have zero luck selling things on here. Put on a set of Alpinestars leathers, gloves and a carbon hugger on this week and didn't even get a nibble! Put them on eBay on Thursday and the leathers sold within half an hour!
Great result. Much more captive audience on ebay though. And look at the guys who have tried to sell bikes through the forum. Not too many sell - unless there's something special like an aprilia RSV!
