I said when I bought it I'd only keep it for the 3 years, I'm already getting itchy feet haha I would like to keep it as it will be a mint low mileage example but I I know what I'm like. I see something and i want it. Already looking at V2 or R1......I'll get year old versions
All the bodywork is cheap aftermarket stuff so it'll all get replaced with track stuff for classic track days. It may have a single headlight but maybe not. It won't be a restoration, it's not good enough for that. If I can get the brakes back to how they were on my old J1 I'll be happier. I'd like to do an older blade next.
I figure I've already paid much of the depreciation, so I'll keep it. My last sportsbike. I'm getting old and could do with paying off the mortgage instead. I do fancy a touring bike though. And a proper trail bike. And......
When I paid £22K for a H2 SX-SE in March 2019 I found Insurance also rockets once a bikes 'Retail Price' goes over £20K! Didn't keep it more than 6 months anyways!
I'd love a new bike but the current prices are too much for me . I've though of changing up to an 08 or newer but they are so much smaller than my rr4. for me I think it will be more older bikes unless I get a lotto and ill have all the bikes in the world
Unfortunately, for us Southern-Monkeys, we need newer bikes because of London's now wide-spreading ULEZ (Ultra Low Emissions Zone). I would still have my Aprilia, but because it was a 2004, was too old to go through parts of London without bending over for Boris with my hard-earned cash! I would have also repaired my old SV650S, but again, as a 2004, wasn't worth it. Chin
