thanks Jason. I placed the grounds on the multipoint in my picture earlier, where all the green connectors are, seems like its grounding to the frame. I can see the starter motor, but I have the ABS model and the starter motor point is too hard to get too.

I cant get to the LCD config either, i follow the instructions for setting it up by pressing the button at the back and turning on the bike, but nothing comes up, if i rev the engine it will flash at 60, and idle it occasionally shows 50, so i guess the sensitivity is 50% and kill time is 60ms.

i'll try and disconnect the shit rod now and see if that helps

should the LCD screen display the settings when i turn the ignition on, or do i have to start the bike for it be displayed.

Either way, ignition on or bike turned over, i cant seem to get to the setting menu by pressing the button at the back during turn on/start up. could it be the QS is faulty ?

all sorted now, it was one of two things, the LCD was showing C and E for the rod and i tied the LCD cable a little too tight with a cable tie, loosened it up and got the LCD to show set up option, and managed to change it to Compression.

Only took me 3 days to fit it in, i must have taken the air box off the bike and put it all together about 5 times to figure this out, but at least i could do this again with my eyes closed.
