Stop Start Technology

    Automatic headlights bug me theres a low arched bridge in town followed immediately by a junction cars think the driver has flashed them out seen loads of near misses mine has the facility but I never use it.

    Our main car (Seat Altea) is Stop/Start. But it seems very picky about when it turns it on. There's a whole list of situations when it won't stop listed in the manual. Things like "if the car is not up to temp", "if the wheel is turned more than 30 degrees from straight", "if the vehicle is on an incline" etc. etc. Plus if you leave the clutch dipped it won't anyway. But when it does, as soon as you dip the clutch to put it in gear it starts instantly. So no real delay longer than it takes to put it in gear.

    And my other car is electric so no worries about noise or stop/start with that :D

    most annoying thing with mine is when the start stop is active before the car is fully warm in the winter......I want the f*cking car to warm not turn off!!

    I used to turni it off all the time but you get used to it
