    Would that be an issue if I flatted it back and put a heavy build of lacquer on it to make it shine?

    How would you flatten it down, 800 paper? and lacquer it with what? Just curious as I would like to do mine too.

    Yeah, take a look in @RepsolSam thread selling the Leo Vince exhaust. There's pics in there of my footrest thingies being prepped and lacquered.

    Not gentlemanly??? I make bespoke hand made gold/silver peices every week but don't show my clients sub standard first run peices and tell them they are not quite there yet but HOPE the next will be better!

    I actually like the look of it, i can't explain what i mean, but i'm in the lucky position where i am up close and personal with BSB Race bikes on a regular basis, and the bits are very basic and serve there purpose, they aren't finished off in shiney laquer and stuff, they look rough and thrown together but in a way it is still a thing of beauty. The bits that are finished off and all shiney are everywhere and you can buy them anywhere online, these look very one off and bespoke and i like that. Obviously if they can be done with a nice siney finish then i won't argue and will have it either way :)
