I went to Hawes this evening and actually needed my headlight for a change to see where I was going. I even needed to excercise my left thumb on the high beam switch. I got home at 9pm, quite dark at that time, bit spooky on unfamiliar roads too, first time I've ridden bike in dark since being born again in 2004. I didnt know Hawes was the midge capital of the north. I needed to stop and clean my visor twice and it needed a clean when I got home.
Good job done Kevin its not somewhere I would fancy in the Dark .Will have to catch up soon maybe at Whitehaven ? But not this weekend as its P***ing down

Well poor old Tom missed out on a decent night Photos tomorrow ish ! A good turnout was had with Barney and Mrs ..CBR1 ...Andy..Si ..Jason ...and special guest appearance of The Firebloke .We arranged to meet Barney and Si at The Newcott Chippy at Whitchurch so on route I picked up CBR1 (Craig) and Jason and a extra treat was The FireBloke also arrived .We made decent progress through the rush hour Traffic and landed in good Time .Barney and Mrs B was there and had on order on the pot already not long after Andy turned up and Si a touch later we had some tea with Si managing to order the largest Kebab in the world which was polished off without a second breath .we all took off for a run into Chester and we had a pleasant time next to the waterfront until well after dark as we had picked a great night .Once over we split with Si leading us out and onto the motorway .Just a big thanks for the good showing which is very hard to achieve based on working and distance to travel .Might get another one in soon ?
Well we arrived bang on 6pm , and got the order in for food , Then giv , Jason , cbr1 and a special guest appearance by MR Firebloke, That was a surprise and a good one too , then andy then si arrived , Food was consumed and a good old chin wag was had , Look over giv's bike and Jason's , ( which I've been told tonight is mine and I'm keeping it at his house if his wife ask's ) it is cracking I must say , Anyway a nice ride to Chester and a stop at the pub on the dee for a drink and another good chat , and some photos , nice too meet you all Really really enjoyed it and a cracking bunch of people , Thanks for putting this together giv and thanks to everyone for making the effort to show up , and make it what it was , Barney.
Ken, From what I gather he has one just doesn't know how to use it! He was meant to get the foty's of his new bike off it into a computer to post but nada so far! Mike, there's a monkey at the zoo that can take photos miby you could get some tips from him!
