It has loads more power than my out going 16 well it feels like it has.
The biggest difference is how it moves from side to side when on a spirited ride.

The tyres are good I run 36f 36r

I can’t remember what mods I had it in at the end of the summer,

The matt black is way better in the flesh love it

Looks way better in black IMO. I put an Evotech radiator guard on mine. It went on reasonably easily although the instructions weren't particularly clear.

I've also put a GB Racing pulse cover on as that is the part of the engine casing that touches down first. I found that out when I dropped it whilst parking on my drive with less than 200 miles on the clock. :( I've also found out that the mirrors are expensive. o_O

    Very nice mate. Enjoy

When it first came out I wasn't excited but since having a go on the 17 model it is growing on me. However, I'm waiting on the weather improving up here and am going to take the new GSXR R out :-0

    Thanks. Another lessen learned. :)

I totally agree, the engine casings should be black. I'll probably get mine sprayed black when I get the scratches on the pulse cover done. The American version gets a cover to the right side and a black alternator cover.

They also get much cheaper spare parts. The 2 parts of the mirror I need are £192 here, I got them for $90.

    Two points:

How the heck can any company JUSTIFY £192 for a mirror; and,

36 psi rear tyre? I have a friggin' lot to learn about my bike!! And now I wonder if I would even sense such a difference. I've just DOWNGRADED my riding ability from 'average' to 'run-of-the-mill' -- only one above 'rank amateur'!:(:(

£192 won't even get you a complete mirror. If you need the indicator light too you'd have to stump up another £80.

It depends on the tyre and the way you ride, some tyres I run slightly harder at 38 psi rear. I've been on Metz M7's on the last 2 bikes and they were spot on at 36psi front and rear. I'm guessing these Bridgstones are going to be set at 36/42 psi so that dealer has covered his arse. They feel too hard to me, bit like riding a boneshaker.

42 psi has been around for a very long time back in 1982 they used to say use that pressure, tyres have come on along way since then, 42 is way to bumpy and on a nice warm day at 36 the tyres will warm up, if it was cold I might go to 38.

Just ordered some Eazi-Grip tank grips and now I'm just deciding whether to order the black Puig screen or smoke grey. I think I'm leaning towards the smoke, thinking shiny black wouldn't go with the matte scheme.

Also found an official Honda single seat cowl in the Sates nearly £50 cheaper all in inc import and shipping. ;)

Ebay, that's where I bought the last one. Had a Puig smoke on my 2015 and it was a quality piece of kit.

That's something I'll change, annoying that Honda never put an adjustable lever on the clutch. Not fancy ASV?
