When I worked for BMW the water based paint finish was terrible. Orange peel, thin and no protection from bird lime, would take no time for a bird shit to stain.
Had my RR4 tank cover replaced under warranty for this problem, brought a spare off ebay to use so as to save the replacement. RR8 tank cover fades after every use and needs polishing, dealers response it's the water based paint (EU bollox). Wonder if Rolls Royce or Ferrari owners would have to put up with this shit.
I cant understand what Honda are playing at. The Honda reliability and quality name will soon be lost!
Couldn't agree more and Stevebetts you are right the Honda name will soon vanish.I asked John at Hunts Manchester if he'd heard of this before, he said only on the 2008 model year.... Lol I also asked if I could keep the damaged one so I could slam a tank bag on without fear of real damage, nope Honda UK want it back :-(
All manufacturers are building bikes to a budget these days. With direct experience of Yamaha/Honda and Triumph I know where I would and have spent my money. Still with Honda. The good times are gone, everyone is looking to save money and penny pinch.
Agree with you Mr B however Just look in depth at what the human race has developed in the last 100 years from Medical Transplants to Computers / Cars/ Fighter jets /Rockets and we can't make a hard paint ?Helloooooooooooo!
