Great news Chris - you have a classic bike there so enjoy it for the few times you use it each year - you won't lose much and if mileage is minimal just drop the oil each winter - wont need much else.
I think if I kicked the missus and kids out it would have a negative effect on saving a fortune. Good your keeping the Blade, it's a gem. Mines an 09 with 3.5k and couldn't survive without having a bike in the garage. The Blade stays!!
