    A mix of new and older model tyres ? See how you get on I suppose.

    I might try a set of Pirelli Angel GTs before long.

    Yes, that would probably be better - and last me up until the TT in June. I can keep these M7RR to one side as they have still got quite a bit left on them. They just seem to be struggling a bit at the moment with very smooth tarmac and colder weather.

    As for your mix of compounds - I suppose MotoGP riders mix different hard/soft/medium compounds on the front/back and it seems to work for them !

    Have a look at road 5’s mate, there doing really well in the cold and wet over here

    .......Metzler Roadtec 01 tyres ordered.

    The M7 RRs have still got miles left on them so will be keeping them, as spares or sell them to a mate if needed, or put them on again for the TT in June.

    See how they cope with cold smooth tarmac....
