Yes I know it can be done.. but no vehicles have ever come with a factory overide. Unlike trac cont which uses parts of the ABS system in its operation.

To make a switch for turn off the blade-ABS shouldn't be difficult... i think. Is a question for a honda specialist...

As far as I'm lead to believe Honda's abs is fully electronic ie the lever is just a pressure switch that send a signal to the servos to apply pressure to the pads depending on speed and lever pressure so the bike does all your braking for you where as Ducati, BMW use tried and tested Bosch system that is more abs brake assistance which can be adjusted and turned off on the Ducati I'm not sure about BM or Kawasaki tho. As we know Honda will no use outside parts ie Bosch etc putting Ohlins suspension instead of Showa on the SP was a massive deal that the media went on about Fagen from Fastbikes said it the equivalent of letting someone else shag your missus that's how much Honda is a closed shop! So I think there is little chance of Honda admitting they got it wrong won't happen I'm afraid! If you want abs without the risks don't buy Honda Fireblade C-ABS p:(

had a repsol with abs no issues and the brakes certainly could be just wacked on,not sure if the guy,s experiencing issue,s are just feeling the softness that you sometimes get with abs or if there is an actual issue,on track days braking could be left to the very last moment,as it would just get sorted out by the abs module, have just got a new blade without abs ,down to cost really ,but brakes still good, but i am aware of lock up now.
