My mam is a seamstress and Gillans kids Nanny was a local girl called Mary Lynn D********, when she came home to see her mam in the early 80’s she brought some clothing to be altered and when she came home the following time she brought me a copy of Purples Perfect Strangers album on vinyl and a Sabbath t’shirt. Whether she’d stolen them or they were gifted by Gillan I’ll never know. Still have the album.

Bruce Dickinson is a topper of a bloke. He's actually a Commercial Pilot too and used to fly the charter I used to take regularly back in 2006/7. Very often he would wander out of the cockpit and come and chat to all of us and a good few guys took Iron Maiden CD'd & DVD's that he autographed. Kind of wished I had done the same but then that was never really my thing
