    Looking good and very inspiring.

I'm just about to start on a similar project but have to admit to being a total noob. I'm so bad I even had to buy all the tools before I can start!!!

Just a few questions if you have time.

How/what did you use to bypass the side stand switch?
Do you have to relocate the catch bottles - do the clash with the race fairings/subframe?
Is it best to get a new nose subframe or does the existing work ok?
    Any other top tips?

Got back from working at the Le Mans 24hr yesterday for Prime Factors Racing to be greeted with these beauties. I'm over the moon with them. Practically brand new having covered only a couple of hundred miles. image.jpg image.jpg

Will get them on the bike this week, along with fairings etc. My first outing on the bike is May 5th at Silverstone. Itching to get out

Recived my fairings from Motocarbons. Absolutly over the moon with the quality & finish. Wasn't going to paint them and just run them in the white gel coat with decals. However, the tail piece was made in two sections and bonded together. Where the upper & lower parts met, there was a band approx 5mm wide that need prep & paint.

So I decided to tape out the contour lines and paint in gloss black. Once painted I used a fluro wheel rim tape to outline the black. image.jpg image.jpg

I'm happy with the finished product. I'll paint the belly pan to match along with the air intakes

Bikes put together and finished. Just a couple of bits of fairing to paint to match the tail piece and I'd say it's Job done. Not going for anything fancy paint wise. Would rather spend my money on track time and tyres.

In total it's taken 7 months to build. It started life as a rolling chassis & looking a bit sorry for its self. It's transormed quite a lot in that time.

    Spec list is

    2011 Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade
    Renthal clip-ons
    Renthal chain & sprockets
    Brembo RCS Master cylinder
    Brembo Seria Oro discs
    Brembo M4 mono block callipers
Ohlins front forks with 30mm internals
    Ohlins TTX rear shock
Full Titanium Arrow world superbike exhaust system (Ten Kate)
    HM Quick Shifter
    Gilles rearsets
    Motoholders HRC factory subframe
    Motocarbons HRC factory bodywork
R&G engine, fork & swing arm protection
Pro Fiber Carbon fiber frame covers/protectors
    HRC 1/6th Quick Action Throttle
    HRC overflow catch tanks
    HRC rear brake res.
    HEL braided brake lines
    K&N Airfilter
2014 Spec CBR1000RR multi spoke wheels

Can't wait to get out and give it a good kicking ;-)

I can't hep with your other questions, but I had to refit the side stand parts on my bike as the previous owner went without the side stand. Basically you just follow the side stand switch back to the plug and short it out. In my case the previous owner had shorted the wires on the sidestand connecter itself, making it easy for me to disconnect the plug when refitting a new sidestand.

Sorry guys, I must of missed this.

I removed my side stand along with the wires & plug. I cut the wires and plug from the side stand which just left the plug with approx 1.5inc of cable. I cut the wires back, soldered them together and heat shrinks them back together to make them water tight. Then refitted the plug back in to the connector just inside the frame.

Perfect if you dont use a side stand.

That looks really nice - lots of good components.

I saw that the exhaust is touching the fairing ( same as I've found on mine) - whats the best way to protect it the fairing from getting too hot - wrap the exhaust and but heat-reflective tap on the inside of the fairing ?

PS. if you ever want to sell the forks ......
