Time for a bit of tinkering today me thinks. -1T front sprocket to be fitted ECU reflash kit to play around with and remove all the remaining unnecessary wiring and brackets. (Got to loose weight somewhere ) Decide on a final design for painting.
No mate. The paddock stand is just in position incase I want to switch from 1 to the other. Sometimes the Abba stand gets in the way, like just now when I'm changing the front sprocket.
You know your in deep when you are looking at this shizzle! ECU re-flashing kit and softwear. Tuning the bike whilst sitting inside with a bottle of wine. Can't beat it
Funnily enough Col I had my Woolich Racing Pro Kit fitted to the ZX10 today with a Custom flash and Auto tune. Also had the Power modes adjusted and the TC Maps altered. Just got to download the software and register it and I'll be 'tickling' too! Must get the PCV on ebay quick before they become worthless!
It really is an impressive bit of kit, and it's just a shame that it's not compatable with the Blade.
Well looks like we have now changed the design again, and have went with something a little easier to paint and maintain. It'll still look good though
Looking good Col. Makes my gixer look well tatty. And yes I do look really stupid with my head like this !!!
Will have some updates for this thread tomorrow. Here's a peak of a little something going on tomorrow.
Yea that's for the Gixxer mate. Just need to get the bits bolted on and paint the fairings. The Blade is still a road bike for now. A set of race fairings is all it will need as it is fully kitted out.
Spent a few hours out in the garage today and got all the remaining jobs done to the track bike. First up was the fitting of the Hairy RS QAT. So it was off with the tank and airbox to get to the throttle cables from that end. Once fitted I then refitted the throttle tube and drilled a hole in the clipon tube so that there was no movement with the switch gear, also fitted the new grips and a brake lever guard. Next up was the more exciting part of fitting the new Nitron shock and Diamond rear sets. Both of which look really well made especially the Nitron. Easily on a par with my Ohlins on the Blade in terms of build quality.
Yup can't wait to get out on it mate. It should be a proper bit of kit for the track. We've went a bit further than we planned originally with mods and the likes, but to be honest being the way we are it was always going to happen
First track day is at Donny on the 9th of April if you fancy it James. Not fussed who goes out first mate.
Yeah, yeah course you are! Lol I'll be at Oulton on the 10th and 11th. Might be a bit much doing donny aswell. Tempting though!
We'll be coming over to Oulton on the Friday to watch Jimbo anyway mate. Let me know if you fancy Donny if not I'll see you at Oulton.
