3K max, braided lines you can pick up for 60-80 I think, I've even got a set here you can have for 40£ p&p included (bought 2013 ) your sure there's none on there? pretty strange Don't think you'll get front and rear done for 500, but a second hand rear shock I'd say 350£, you shold get the front resprung for 200-300£, so a little over, but at least you can get it done in feb/march just before the new season, and after you saved a bit..
Concur with Skippy YT. Also take into account it's on ya doorstep so a bit saved in travel etc. I'd worry about getting the right bike in general as is this one and not worry too much about suspension, you can always get that sorted after. A good engine WOW's and a well looked after bike are key. Email Maxton suspension about a package deal for an R6, this will give you an idea about extra costings
Just noticed the front suspension travel indicators are quite high (assuming they've not been reset) and considering the seller admits to being a Large Lad this leads me to deduce his preload is set too high? Nowt for you to worry about, just an observation that's all! (Reckon his lawn mowers fecked also!)
Yamaha R6 track bike 2007 with Ohlins and Power Commander. Covered 3200miles | eBay maybe this one, but no V5, he might have history....... tell him 3500 for the bike and WoW's and extra rims, looks like a good deal to me, cou could easily get 300£ back for a set of rims
don't think he'll get his 3500 for the bike only, but say either 3500 with a set of wheels or 3750 for everything, you'll get some money back from the wheels and tyres, so will stay under the 3500 you wanted to pay... let us know
Spoke to lee yesterday..3600 for the lot he said he would accept...bikes been reframed on a blank frame.. Save yourself 150
If he would take 3600 for the lot and you turn up with 3500 cash and wave it infront of his nose and say all you have he may take it
..............................maybe, maybe not! Best have another Oner in ya sky rocket in case he say's Fek off!
yup! if i thought a dude came short changed for the old wave under nose technique.... i'd tell him to do one!! if on the other hand, we had a sensible conversation and agreed a price that suited both, happy days. if you cant afford it, dont go, if you can but still knock the fella down fair play, thats life and he doesnt have to sell it for anything less than he wants. think i'm a bit old skool on that one.... alternatively, ring through, say you can stretch to 3.5k but not a penny more and will take the bike off his hands if all as asvertised when viewing. saves you cash and stops wasting his/your time. bet you he goes for it!
Yeah talking of the blank frame he sent me a picture and it looks like its been ground and repainted. Doesnt look like a yamaha frame plate
if the frame is as you said, don't even touch it, do go and have a look as pics can be a bit tricky to go by, but if you think it's dodgey just walk away.. there will be plenty more track bikes coming up on ebay/moto forum within the next few months
A new frame won't have a frame plate or anything. It'll look just like any other part of the frame. The key factor is does this guy have a receipt for the new frame? If not then Fek him off and report to the Rozzers. As I've said before a new frame aint uncommon on Trackers and my ZX10 has a blank frame. Difference is I have a receipt from a Kwacker main dealer for the frame
Some manufactures have the blank flat square there but it will be clean not like that buddy looked lumpy filled and painted that did
Should of bid on this... 2007 Yamaha R6 2CO Race Bike | eBay Awell there'll be others, and I'm buying a new marshall amp stack atm so that's takin priority for the minute!
