Looks like the Blade front end is not possible as although nearly everything is the same apparently the sp2 forks are quite long and unless you get a custom triple clamp made that is stepped to accept the shorter fireblade fork it totally messes up the geometry of the bike.

Gutted to be honest as this project has the green light and a blade front end would have been mega.

Not got acces to the bikes at the moment unforutnately but will do some checks when I can and see how much work would be involved in getting custom triple clamps made up as a Blade front end would be awesome.

If its not possible plan B is a ktech 20ssk piston kit and set up in the OEM fork as apparently the SP2 fork is one of the better OEM forks on the market.

Your SP looks mint, there are not to many about. In my opinion I would keep it original and find a project to play with. I only say this out of experience of moding an 750 SRAD that was / is mint only to find it was worth the same and less sell-able with all the mods.

Cheers for the comments Shamless and glad you like the SP. I totally agree with what your saying and to avoid this problem I will be removing any OEM items and putting them in safe storage. All upgrades will be replacement parts and not modifications of the originals, becasuse as you say its important to be able to return to show room spec. I do think the mods will be enhancements though as forged lightwheels and HRC carbon airbox's are all trick components I m not talking fitting anything cheap and tacky.

Keep the SP and go to some one who will be able to set up the weight of you and your riding style to match the bike. because if you do trust me you will never sell that bike even with standered kit on it.
I have an SP1 and i dropped the front end 30mm and had a 3.5ml spacer fitted to the rear then i got in touch with a suspension teck that works with a moto gp team and when he was back home i got him to set up the bike for me and my weight for track riding.
All i can say is fook me it works very well. it's still a very fun bike to ride on the road a little bit bumpy on the rough back roads but its something i dont mind. But at the end of the day i find the Blade a bit boring to ride now in comparisin to the SP1. It turns in at the drop of a pin. and as for brakes i put some race spec pads and wavey discs on the front. Brakes sorted.
I have a PC111 usb with a custom map,K&N filters, pair system sorted, ram vent removed, and slow rev removed. Up 2 teeth on the rear and it runs like a savage.
So what im trying to say is id keeeeeeep the Honda SP because it has racing pedagre and not just an itialian badge that wont start on a sunday morning.
This be mine. Ya can see how it sits higher in the rear and lower in the front.

Hi Speedtiwn, the bike looks great mate and you can tell you have altered the geometry considerably as the bike normally looks flat if you know what I mean. Yours is very front end bias know wonder you have fast steering.

How did you drop the front 35mm ? as the forks don't look like there pushed up through the yokes by 35mm, have you used a different method ?

I have done most of the mods you mention but what is the "slow rev removed" mod ?

Looks great mate, post up more pics I never grow tied of looking at SP's
