Yes your right, I ended up putting a different video up. Write up from 2014 video is dated on Youtube as 2016.

Not a fan of parade laps, although I did photograph Beckers at 2016 one on his Tiger blade.
So I'll take the pics and let you lot pootle around in a slow convoy. :D

Other than that, beers at the Grandstand or a meet at the Bungalow ?

I thought it was only speed controlled until the Ramsey Hairpin. I'm easy though. I think it's going to have to be quite spur of the moment during race week anyway... weather changing the program etc. Practice week you have all day. Any day I'm out on the bike I'll normally stop in at the Grandstand first around 8-9am.

Never been on it mate, but from what I've seen on videos it looks pretty much all the way round, perhaps slightly faster over the mountain as you would expect.
I understand the sentiment of these laps, but I wouldn't like to take part.
    Not my kind of thing.

Yes get what your saying, not really my thing either but will probably do it as long as the weather is ok. Ive watched a couple of past rides and they look as though once it gets going they are ticking along at road speed limits so may not be too bad. I'd like to be close to the front to hopefully escape to freedom on the mountain though.... that's plan A :D

The lap is good fun and not as mental as previous years when it was a free for all for a pretty uninterrupted lap I tend to go over the mountain at about seven in the morning on mad Sunday usually a good clear run but be careful of low cloud and windy corner is very apt but it's worth it for the veranda alone

I’m hoping to pinch a space with one of the mates if someone pulls out nearer the time! Was there 4 years ago now and camped and it was a fantastic few days! May get this year yet!

A few years ago we were sitting at the gooseneck just watching the 'wannabes'. Decided to take off to the Cregg, well two of us.
Got further up and passed someone who tried to fit his ZX10 through a fence, so managed to squeeze past just as they closed the road.
Nothing coming from behind, we had a free run over the rest.
Got to Veranda as the medic copter came up from the valley.
Absolutely crapped myself as well, but was a good run all the way over.
Still got some pics from it too.

    TT 2018 - Getting close now !

Is Hutchy going to make the start of the TT ?

Looked through the news and only found something about him hoping to be fit by the end of April. Not sure if he is going to make the TT start line.

Doesn't look good for him mate.
That will be him, McGuinness and Anstey all missing.
Chances for some others to make a podium tho.
I'm predicting a year like last year for Peter Hickman, consistency wise and bike performance, and he will be on the top step for at least 1.
    Hope so anyway, top bloke.

I hope James Hillier gets some podium action, and Michael Dunlop has to be the favourite on the incredibly fast BMW.

It is sad that Hutchy and McGuinness might not make the start. In a way I hope they don't make it to the start 'cause you have to be at the top of your game to race round the TT.

I like Hillier 'cause I had a little chat to him last year, just in passing !

Love Hillier too, but think there is only so fast he will go, going by his reaction after that senior where he got a 132.
The guy was very emotional about how fast that race was.
Cracking guy and top rider tho.

Off topic slightly. If you've not already, head south. The A36 is my new favourite road. Shame I have to get on a ferry just to get there though.

I know where you mean, I found it by chance on a bit of a sight seeing trip.

I was bumping around there on some bumpy old roads, doing about 25 mph thinking ah well at least the scenery is nice !

Then the road surface improved massively, like brand new roads, smooth and gorgeous and twisting on lovely road surface - amazing bit of road.
