Ha ha ha ha ha probably. My usual group will be camped on St Georges, so look out for them. Blue V reg R1, Ducati Desmo, RR7 Blade, RR5 Blade (I think), likely an FZR, and a Speed Triple. there may even be an SWP1 if the old man of the guy with the Desmo goes too. And possibly an MV Agusta and another R1 Rossi Rep.
My mate has two spare tickets for the TT. Ferry tickets for bikes and rider and camping on St George's campsite beside the grandstand. Leaving Thursday of practice week, return on Friday of race week. Let me know ASAP, as he has it up on his Facebook.
Hi Colin, the best way to get booked for ferries is if you know anyone who is going this year ask them to do it for you while on the island, last year deposits were £40 per bike non refundable and the remainder has to be paid before the end of February next year. I usually go out from Heysham Saturday race week middle of night sailing but means you can get set up and out for racing without sleep hahah and back into Liverpool the following Sunday lunch time ish sailing as ferries back to Heysham from I.O.M are early morning or late night. good luck and once you've been you'll want to go back i've missed 2 since 91
Hi Col, me and Honda1964 are heading over next year for the fortnight I have booked a cottage near Kirk Michael and I'll be booking the ferries a.s.a.p as I had to postpone last year for this year because of the ferries so you have to phone Steampacket on the 1st day of this year practice for next year's ferries! We're TT newbies too mate so it'll be good to swap info I'll prob catch up with at some point in the summer dude with Ross,Andy and Co
I am going early boat 31st for the week staying at st Georges camp site I am a TT virgin and cant wait hope to meet up with members there for a few beers
My mates are staying on St George's. You will spot them, one has a Desmo and Spider-Man looking leathers. We are staying just behind that camp site but leave on the 1st, so may see you or may not. Depends. Check out Motofesttt on twitter, as there is some crazy stuff going on down there at Jurby. Have a great trip, and hope you get your ferries booked.
Well steam packet has royally pissed me off. All day I've been trying to book on net and phone for 2015. Finally get to booking page on net and all the dates I wanted are gone if I want to go on the bike. I'd have to go on the Thursday of practice week and return on the Monday after the event had finished. Ended up booking provisionally as a foot passenger and still haven't got the ideal sailings! Wish there was another ferry company.
I'm the same mate. Took me 6 hours to finally get through and I've ended up with dates that are a day or 2 either side of the races. Not ideal especially when trying to get digs sorted for those dates.
Took me 2 hours to get through then 30 mins on hold. Out on the 29th back on the 13th, sorted. This time next week I'll be waiting to get on the ferry.
We'll need to meet up mate when over there. Finally put a face to the guy on the other end of the phone.
All booked dudes I got my missus to keep tryin throughout the day when I got home from work and she was on hold so I took over 40mins and 2 return tickets later and I'm one happy MoFo
