Since when has someone rejected grip over looks? Got a 55 on mine with a repsol hugger no problem. Also its a Continental Sport Attack 2, better than any Pirrelli iv had.
Yep 55 profile on mine also. Does ever so slightly 'Kiss' the underside of the OEM Honda Hugger at 120mph+ speeds due to Tyre Growth when new but it's not a problem and stops once it's worn a bit. All the 55's do it on the OEM Hugger and it's nothing to worry about at all.
I've used Tyre Leader a few times now and found them good - quick delivery and best prices. I used to use Oponeo and Mytyres but Tyre Leader are cheaper.
Cheers Ian E Am I right in saying they are a German firm and if so are their tyres the same spec as in the UK. Cheers Stu
It says German on the web site, but I think all the tyres I have bought from them have been despatched from France. I normally order at the weekend and the tyres have arrived by the following Wednesday. I've had a number of tyres from them (Pilot Power 3, Pilot Road 3, Metzeler Racetec etc.) - all fine. Mates have bought car tyres from them and made big savings. Same spec as UK - I think the Michelins are made in Spain anyway (from what I can remember)
My rear sportsmart is at the wear limit in the centre of the tyre but got loads of tread left still on the outer edges. I need to lean more lol. I'm going to replace it with the sportsmart 2 next month as the front sportsmart still has loads of tread left.
Dilemma Question is do I have enough on my Bridgestone S20 to get to Assen and back, which is around 1,000 miles. Don't want to really put another tyre on that will definitely flat spot, or do I go for Road Pilot 4's to be on the safe side??
At the sides ya do but the center is getting low and not good for a torrential downpour on a motorway etc PR4 time IMHO!
Yeh I guess thats the problem doing a lot of touring around on a soft tyre like the S20 Getting to Dover is all motorway and so not much can be done run getting a flat spot, short of weaving my way down south! New rear tyre being fitted on Tuesday. Going to give the Evo a go as the front is fine. After that I will do front and rear RP4 Have a soft spot for the Brigestones, excuse the pun
Hi Sinewave. My Bridgestone S020's that came on my 2013 blade are almost at the end of their life and I'm looking for a replacement. Bearing in mind I don't take my bike to the track would you say the PR4 is the best road tyre out there?
I've heard really good things about Metzeler M7 RR's MCN tested them back to back with the epic Sportsmart2 and the M7's clinched it due to feel and comfort just donno how long they'll last! But the good news is ColinBR has a set on his Blade and we shall find out no doubt
