REP01.jpeg I've had the Taylormade on my 16 SP since new. Zero fueling issues and no noise issues. Like I mentioned, it passed all db requirements (at tracks and our equivalent of MOT) and is nowhere near as loud as my mates bikes.

Very discrete, and I can understand why people like them. For me (old school:rolleyes:) I prefer to see a 'real' pipe and preferably with the symmetry of one or two each side. Big ask now though.:(

Interesting info about the lever adjustment. I have the standard levers in a box that came with the bike. I'll have to have a look and see how the adjustment differs from the aftermarket levers that came fitted.

The heat shield and heel guard are both fitted. maybe I sit oddly or possibly there is something wrong with my exhaust (eg. restriction in cat or similar). I'll be interested to see what happens when I cut the cat out (I have a 2nd hand one arriving any day now to play with).

I do really like the look of the Tayloymade system as it appears factory, the one on the bike above looks fantastic. Odd that there is no lambda boss but wouldn't take me long to weld one in. More inclined to do that to a 2nd hand one though.

That's a great looking bike. Out of interest, what are the noise limits and how is the test conducted? Interested to know if the limits at your tracks (presuming we're talking American tracks here) are anything like the limits in the UK.

This is at the tracks in America that I run at, 15 feet away at 100 db with a db meter.

It's measured a lot closer to the bike in the UK (under 2ft). To save me doing lots of typing I've copied this from another site (describes the normal test in the UK)...

"During a static noise test a decibel testing device (which looks a bit like a mini metal detector) is held at a 45 degree angle half a meter away from the exhaust exit. For cars the engine is held at ¾ of maximum revs. For bikes it will depend on the cc and number of cylinders.

The most common RPM needed for a static bike test will be:

    7000rpm for a 4 cylinder 600cc. 5500rpm for a 4 cylinder over 750cc and 5000rpm for a 2 cylinder over 750cc.

The general limit for most UK Circuits is a max decimal limit of 105db which is a standard club race limit but there are several circuits and specific dates with more strict regulations and therefore lower limits."

I like the Taylormade exhaust, just a shame they don't have a full system for it.

So that you know I run the OEM exhaust with no mods (actually the original was replaced by honda because of rust)

I seriously researched the TM before mine was replaced and had quite detailed correspondance with the tech guy. Very helpful & knowledgeable but in the end I didn't want the risk of having to spend more money on fuel remapping gadgets as the way the bike performs was & still is perfect for me.
There were also some quality & fitting issues on some (do an internet search or even on this very forum!). Hopefully they've sorted it out.
HRC runs his on an RR16 which is different. We are talking about RR8~9. For theseTM doesn't have fitting for O2 sensor nor the exhausr flapper valve. You can check it out yourself on their website
