As said . Get a bargain 2011 model and get dreamMachine to paint it what every you want . They have adds in bike trader all the time for 1000 bucks . Still cheaper than paying 12k

Castrol for me aswell .. May even have it done buy the summer myself lol

I would have thought all of Honda's 2011 stock will already be in dealers so it's their problem if they can sell it or not?

P.S. Visordown - that takes me back. I used to frequent that site when it started as a supermoto forum, before the journalist site owner bloke sold it to mega corporation Magicalia (or whatever they're called). Magazine down the tubes, but website still going!

Save money, take bodywork off yourself & send it to them.

a lot of the price of a paintjob nowadays is taking off & re-ftting of panels.

Its the best way to do it. strip bodywork off over winter, send it off, get it back all shiny & new and refitted before the new season starts.

    minter.

If you decide you want a 2011 bike ... try the Dobles Honda Dealer ...

They are doing RR-A's (2010) bikes out the crate with a custom job of your choice (TT Legends in my case) for sub £11k ... and that was before the 2012 bike was officially annouced ... could be even cheaper now ...

My only objection is as already said, none are officially sanctioned replica's, and i would want it done exactly as per the race bikes, so id take it to the proper paint shop, sadly not Dream Machine whos quality has dipped over the years.

My local dealer has told me £11300 OTR for a 2012 Fireblade, which I presume to be the non-ABS model. I'm hoping to get to them this weekend so I can take a look at the 2012 model in person, rather than photos.

That saving isn't to be sniffed at - particularly on the first two sets of prices for CBR1000RR (I presume the 2011 model?).

Wow. In that case, you could just about get a brand new 2012er, non-ABS OTR for £10k?

    That's a great deal.
