I have to say, that makes the 2012 S1000RR (the alternative new bike for me, assuming I replace the Triumph) look very expensive indeed. Have to think seriously about whether or not it's worth the extra cash.....
I dont think the 'special' paint schemes are worth any more than standard. I agree with JM1 was getting at in that they are not 'factory' limited editions. For instance an Agostini or Senna MV, which are proper "limited editions". It might make someone like it more on ebay - but it might also make them like it less as its effectively modified from standard. I might sell my 2011 Repsol..............................................................:suicide:
Just thinking about it as I've got a lot of cash tied up in that bike and for some reason my insurance has rocketed upto £1500 this year! So i'm toying with selling it, getting a solid winter bike and saving up for the Duc in the spring.
Dont buy a new ducati in its first year of release. it WILL spend more time in the dealers than in your garage.
My local Honda dealer has a Castrol for £10700 brand new. I nearly bought it but decided on the repsol in the end.
Can`t beat the Castrol, old skoll & nu skool at the same time.( i think you will find the latter part of that sentence is `yoof` speech).
I think schemes on bikes are fine like the castrol on the SP2 as that bike and scheme are related, I hate it say when someone say for example does a swan rep on an RR-7 blade they were on the RR-8 onwards it's just wrong and shouldn't be done
Ken, i take it you haven`t `heard the kids say `skoll`, obviously not down with them, no diggedy. no doubt, watcha & all that crap init.
