Van hire or buy a bike trailer?

    That trailer looks ok. How does the price compare to the Motolug.

    Bought it second hand so not sure about a direct comparison.
    I paid about 400 for it I think but it is quite substantial and it's been designed to split down so that each section is OK to carry by one person.
    I have taken it in the back of an Astra estate with the rear seats down to pick bikes up and it assembles quickly enough too (would probably go in a hatch with the seat down too).
    It had 'Titan Trailers' stickers on it when I bought it but I couldn't find out anything about them to see the cost when new.

    nice trailer indeed, and since I posted this found out a friend owns a van hire company now so that may come in handy for mates rates

    I suppose it all comes down to how often you need to use it i.e. if van/trailer hire costs £20-30 a day then 10-20days later you may as well have bought one. My issue is with storage, hence the reason for looking at collapsible ones to store in the garage.

    I searched Titan Trailers and only found horse boxes, but Google images came with with this.
