I know how you feel! All I've had is fruit, whole meal bread and hardly any processed foods, feel like I've been pulled through with a Christmas tree and blokes at work this morning made me buy them jam doughnuts for their break when I popped to the shop
Yep, I'm fast reaching the 1000 yard stare point of a Vietnam vet. 1000 yards is about as close as Jeanette is letting me get to a bacon butty.
Just had a very crackly and quickly cut off call from Si. They're already only 100 miles away. The rain has been twatting them all the way down. I told him it was dry here, then, the moment we were cut off, huge thunderstorm. Lol.
Ok the boys arrived at The Raven Prompt but very wet seems like non of the waterproofs are any good[/IMG] First in was Tom . And then Si, Tol, and Craig[/IMG][/IMG][/IMG] The Firebloke GaryB and Jetmadblade[/IMG][/IMG][/IMG] Si looking forward to his breakfast and yet The Murderer is thinking of the long night ahead.[/IMG]
Fairplay guys... love the loyalty. Enjoy - just remember the moistness will soon be a distant memory once you get to Destination Ken Take care
Just spoke to Si .They are taking refuge in a pub from the thunder and lightning and full on rain storm about 80 miles from landing .All ok and it seems that they are enjoying it . I think what must be driving them, is a generous helping of Jeanette's baps! Apparently they are the talk of exminster
Nice one Mike. Missing you already mate. Jez, I'm serving them naked or not at all. Gary's just posted the storm they're stuck in on Facebook so I posted the view over their hotel to cheer them up.
The Black Hand gang have arrived! (They'll explain later) Through all kinds of weather, the lads have pitched up in glorious Deb'n. Steve B and Shawn were already beer in hand when the accumulating rumble of Blades descended upon the Devon Hotel. The Fox looking slightly bewildered at Martin because he was certain that he wasn't with them when they started off, and Gary putting a blanky on his baby. He never tucks Gill up like that...
I have to report that due to the amount of text recently received that there is a massive amount of ballooning going on and I can confirm that The Fox has made a lunge for Kens lovely wife . GaryB is keeping a very close watch on the Murderer as the death stare has become more intense .
I've just escaped and returned home. The boys are still exercising their rights, as residents, to drink the bar dry. What a terrific night with great company of old friends and new. Gazza sees the funny side... Yes, well we all knew it was going to happen... Who watches the watchers. Another Chilean Merlot bites the dust. Finally, the time came to auction off Martins Arse. Money changed hands but we let Si win. It is his wedding anniversary tomorrow after all.
well done on making the trip all after the horrid weather we had in the morning this way and looks like a great trip. Wish I was there and if you do it again try and miss my kids birthdays
The calm before the other storm. Little help here. Do they have garden plants in the Nawf...? I'd hate them to start eating ours by mistake, it would be socially awkward...
Well, what a cracking night we had after the horrendous trip down! Think we ride through constant rain all the way down bar the last 30 miles!........but then we Norveners are a tough lot! So off we go now to Mr and Mrs Ken's where my lovely sweetheart will cook us a hearty breakfast, after which, I plan to fit my pillion pegs and whisk her off on my steed straight up to Gretna! Taking extra care to cut across the Old Goat's lawn as we leave!!
Great stuff boys looks like it was all worth it . Hope you have a good ride back to the promise land .And of course a big thanks to Ken and Jeanett is in order . The 1000rr forum comes good yet again well done.
