Well just back from meeting the lads, had to leave as they must of been close to noticing my nodding and smiling everytime they spoke! What the fek were they saying?? No great evening with top bunch of lads, sorry had to rush back early though guys had to get back to the campsite for the bingo (ken will understand) Nice to meet you all and have a good ride home
With regards to not understanding them, were you on about the northeners or the southeners? Nice to meet you, have a good game of bingo.
Had a good evening with the guys nice to see them and put names to faces have a good and safe ride home on sunday.
I have sat with gods and broken bread with nobility. I have been awe struck by their presence and been dazzled by Si's new shirt. I've seen a simpleton waitress lose the plot so completely while serving the Settle Fox (he is smooth though) that she thought Giv' was 40, 42 at most. Thanks for a great evening guys and thanks to T', Shawn, Steve B and the night's honorary Devonian, Martin, for balancing the north/south split. Mike, Si, Steve and Tol', see you in the morning for bacon sarnies. Steve B, mammoth respect for riding up from Hayle, having a scoff and riding home again. Top drawer, sir.
Big respect to Steve B for his journey , just to have a yarn & food & then ride home again. Hat off to you. By the way my lamb dopiaza was very nice, didnt go much on my rum flavoured beer though.
Jeevus Crisps, it was warm yesterday, and bleedin' hot today, so huge respect to the guys spending so much time in leather yesterday and today. The North West Massive Travelling Contingent has just left Chez Ken for a run to Cheddar Gorge, where I can't help but feel Giv' is going to be a bit upset when he see's it's not made of cheese. He still thinks "A Grand Day Out" is a documentary, you know. Martin left sharpish before I got the camera out. I reckon he only told Helen he was going to the campsite shower block and didn't want any evidence to the contrary. Here, the Nohan is explaining to Tandbiskits that all is required to be cool like him is a new shirt and a tasty barnet. Giv' looking in stunned disbelief at the waitress who mistook him for a 40 year old. Shawn was so shocked, he paused mid slice of his steak. Si's mate Tol'. He's not miserable, he's just resigning himself to sharing a room with that shirt. Shawn awaiting the initiation ceremony to join 'The Massive'. He's not looking too pleased but that's because they've just told him what he has to do. Steve B doesn't look too happy either. It was his turn in the barrel next. Giv' has just conned Si out of his phone on some pretence of having no signal on his and is now maxxing out the contract on porn chat. One for the ladies. The Settle Fox turning 'it' on for the camera with Steve B looking on in admiration.
A 20 minute midnight blast down the M5 with the roof down helped take the edge off my glowing lug holes, then into my pit excited, pending the Massive's visit in the morning. Civilised 'second breakfast' in the garden. There was many a curtain a'twitch as the Massive rumbled through the village. I heard them coming through the main road and all the way to the house. Glorious. The Judge Dredd of the Wirral checks his fan mail before the 'off'. A quick family portrait. And then the four horsemen of the Apocalypse rode off into the heat haze. Lads, thank you so much for your company this weekend. Just as I suspected, the craic was superb. Kudos to your epic run just for an overnighter and big respect to Steve B for his mighty run up from deepest Cornwall just to join in for a couple of hours, then blasting all the way home. Martin, wish you could have stayed longer. Maybe next time. T', it was emotional. Have a safe run home guys.
Great pics ken as usual, wish I had stayed a bit longer and once I got back to the tent Helen said I should of stayed for the evening Normally I would of but I felt guilty leaving her and the kids with nothing to do an no car. But I still had a good time if it ever happens again I'm in and booking a room
nice pics ken ,really enjoyed the evening and great to meet and put some names to faces, big respect to the guys for coming down from up north hope it was good for them also as you are aware the magnificent service station up the road is not advertised well its no bloody wonder it was closed! I felt slightly under dressed as soon as I seen si's shirt it was something to behold I hope the guys had a good trip home and cant wait for the next meet up
Really, really enjoyable weekend. Ken, it was a pleasure to meet you, and Jeanette, thank her so much for breakfast. You supplied great company and wit… lovely bloke! Giv said Jeanettes hand smelt divine. Great to meet the Devon and Cornish boys, lovely chaps…. they feed 'em good down there! Great chat, intellectual, many beverages, lovely cheesecake and Irish coffees, and fantastic company. Big up to Steve (thefirebloke) for joining us after his off too, he was sore…so bad he hallucinated being chased by coppers dressed as farmers…hahah! Stopped off a few times to chew the fat, and Cheddar Gorge was lovely….to top it off, the weather was fantastic! AND, we found out Ken isn't a ginger….. Steve got flashed by some divine old milf with a stripy clout. Giv, as usual, had us in pleats with his retort and wit,,,, top , top bloke. A pleasure for company, as is Steve. Nice to be with honest, straight guys with similar interests and tastes… brilliant. As for Devon, we've never seen so many double white lines on the roads….traffic was very busy so pace was ok and as expected with it being rammed with cars and trucks.. Another box ticked off, 617 miles and great memories….. Cheers guys, it's been a great weekend! If anyone wants the number for my tailor who made my shirt, just pm me.
