I use a dark tint on mine, but carry a clear one at all times. Both have a Pinlock in them as I find them invaluable.

Ken, I believe the maximum legal tint for a visor is no more than 25%, so a light smoked visor. That's why all the black/dark tint visors state nor for road use.

I only ever wear aback visor. I carry a clear visor with me in Spring/Autumn

iradecent for me, and darktint, however, last two times abroad I found they offer no uv protection, a bright red visor size suntan was sported at the end of the day.

Cheers mate. My helmet's got the built in drop down sun visor, which is okay but I like to have a polarising filter, especially if the sun's low, so I tend to wear wrap around shades.

they have relaxed the laws a year or 2 ago. saying it was at the discretion of the police officer. And main reason why their is no straight forward Answer. Some may do you for a dark tint when its very sunny. others (most BIB I have passed) don't do a thing. I've never been pulled for dark, mirror visor. As said as long as you have a clear one if riding into the evening you should be fine

It's likely to be too much bother for a pull unless you've been pissing him off with other stuff or his 'roids are playing him up.
