Had a little playing and managed to get both wheels of the ground but the front only just off but what concerns me is how much it leans? IMG_20150307_133953.jpg IMG_20150307_133942.jpg IMG_20150307_133922.jpg

Looks like an optical illusion ! Not happy with that....I have an Abba stand with the front lift arm and although the front wheel is not way above the floor it is a lot higher than that, but that said as long as its off....

I could talk you through the lifting the wheel but neither of my lifts sit pissed like that I wouldn't be happy leaving my pride and joy on that over winter

Hi martinowen the stand goes into the holes great the problem is as i start lifting the bike the bottom pin goes into the hole more than the top pin (which is all the way home) so it looks like the bottom weight of the bike is pulling it in the only think i can think of is bu putting a 1/2" spacer on the bottom pin to stop the lean?

Is this the warrior one? I have 2 different make ones and not had to modify them, a spacer may work but I wouldn't want to advise some thing that could go wrong.
IMO it should work without modification

Out of interest If I look at my lifts off the bike when off the bike if I remember corectly the main upright leans back (away from the bike) this could be to compensate for any lean.
Would be interesting to see if yours was dead straight

Hi, i use one of these, garage and track days for use of warmers, yes it leans but i think its meant to so that the top pin grabs inside the cup you insert it into, if you think its easy to pull a pin straight out of a tight hole but try it getting it out bent over with weight on, impossible !
Well it works for me and works well, i had my concerns originally but after swinging the bike around the garage a few times i realised it was doing its job, hope this has settled your mind a bit.

I've got the warrior stand, and remember playing about a bit to get it right. Will take a photo tomorrow for you of my set up but do remember doing something to one of the pins as I wasn't happy. Got an old photo if this helps! To be honest yours looks fine, just need to lift the front a bit more.

Hi martinowen if you could advise me on how to lift the wheels more evenly this might help with the lean too?

What you do is loosen your big centre nut, inset pins into frame then your long small bolt that connects to the lift then the plate you tighten the adjuster nut on that all the way in, then do your big nut up. This way it will lift even.
Hard to explain but hopefully makes some sense

I have holes in all 4 corners, our lifts are different makes and our bikes are different years so wouldn't be worth using the exact same set up.
Mine would only comfortably fit in one hole so it just made sense that way.
I don't think this will change the way it leans of the stand though I believe this is most prob why both my stands lean away from the bike slightly in the first place, it's prob to stop it leaning once lifted

Thanks for those photos, how long have you had your stand as your adaptor plate and adjustment bolt are totaly different than mine is yours for the 08 onwards blade? the reason i ask is ive spent a couple of hours this afternoon in the garage trying to fine tune mine to lift both wheels of the ground but ive still no joy even with martinowens advice?

Can you add a pic of your lift, the adaptor is just the bit that goes into the frame so if that fits it's right.
Add a pic of the top where it hinges too

Mined leaned slightly, not as much as yours but it was fine.

The flexibility and moving parts associated with this type of lift will never have it cock on vertical.
