Hi martinowen ive just been in tha garage for another hour and half scratching my head adjusting this and that and still no joy well not that i would call enough the front was of about 3mm, i will take some photos later and post them
Yeah mine is for 2008 onwards! Had about a year, post some photos of your adaptor sounds like your maybe the wrong plate!
Just a thought, make sure all the castor nuts are tightened up. Your front castor does looks a bit skew. If the stand/floor is not level in the first place you have no chance. But have to admit they are a ball ache to set up.Worth it though. This is how mine is set up
Your bracket does look slightly different as in one hole but wouldn't think this makes much difference. Just a thought but do you stand the bike up first with the side stand up then locate the pins as if it was on the side stand the pins would be lower therefore would not rise as much. (think that makes sense) I stand the bike up first then locate the pins still holding the bike, as I pull down on the lever the bike rises straight away....
The saga continues ive had a new adaptor plate delivered but its the same as the original ive been playing around with the settings again today and still not great improvements back wheel off the ground by about 10" front wheel at best about 1" surely it should be a bit more even than that any other ideas and settings or photos of adaptor setups for a 2008 blade onwards please advise me as it must be working for others thanks in advance Dave
Hi martinowen thanks again for your support, ive tried all manor of settings turned the plate round, move the plate into all the holes on the stand adjuster in both top holes adjusted fully in and fully out in the middle, i think ive covered all adjustments but still no joy weather im a bit thick but i cant think of any other solutions?
The adjuster needs to be wound in before the big bolt holding the plate is fully tightened. Has to be done while the pins are inserted into the frame
long shot but have tried raising the fronts slightly by putting a thin plank of wood under the front tyre then adjusting the plate.
Just had a look at mine and measured. Looking at your photos have just noticed the thread on the arm. Yours looks greater than 30mm! Some other measurements from mine. Centre of top pin measures from floor in down 550mm Centre of top pin measures from floor in up poistion 680mm thread on adjustment behind bracket 40mm
Hi Womblewizard thanks for the photos and measurements, i didnt know the thread on the arm was adjustable advice on how to do that would be great and i will play around with it tomorrow kind regards Dave
It just winds in but as you fold the lever keep a visual on the end of that bolt hitting the lever, just small adjustments each time if they touch it will bend the bolt when lever is fully down
