I have a Constand bike lift redundant in my garage , lifts the Blade up perfect once the set up with it was done. £100 collection only
email received informing me that the new castors are on their way, let's hope this mod finally puts this saga to bed and we can all get the use of these stands
I've already used it for four days on a track event and must say I'm pretty happy with it.. It is so easy to lift the bike vs getting it on the paddock stands. The new castors are necessary though, the current ones are just crap.
Well.................new castors arrived and to be honest they are exactly the same as the ones that are on the stand already, the only difference i can see is that they are not so loose so they sit better, not tried to lift the bike yet but i would doubt if they are going to make much of a difference in how the bike sits when airborne but we shall see
How many of us are suppose to have had these new casters? all or just odd ones? as i personally haven't had anything through the post yet or anything from DT relating to them being here
I got my new castors about ten days ago mate, not tried them out yet but maybe put them to the lift test today
well guy's i am posting in here as this was the thread that highlighted the problems with this stand, Due to work stuff and other things going on in my life i haven't had a chance to try this stand with the upgraded/replacement castors i was sent, Well i have just fitted said castors and went thru the set up again and only lifted the bike two or three times and it comes as no surprise to be honest but it still doesn't work............After 3 lifts i now find that only 2 legs actually touch the ground, on further inspection i can see that the leg that sits at 90 degrees to the bike is now bent and the brace that supports said leg is also going out of shape, i was scared to let go of the bike never mind spin it round on the stand, i wouldn't lift my mountain bike with this thing now. This post is in no way me having a dig at DT who have been great thru this saga but more a heads up/warning to all the folk that bought one of these stands, maybe you all should take a closer look at it before you put full trust in it with your pride and joy up in the air Cheers Bob
