I ride with my toes on the peg and I'm a size 6. Should I ride with my heels on peg so I look like a penguin ?.?

Riding with the balls of your feet on the outer half of the foot pegs is a circuit racing technique. On the road, it has drawbacks. It induces more knee bend, hence less comfort, and your feet are further away from the controls.

I have copied this about foot position. Obviously you blokes aren't as flexible !

I sold my Sidi Vertigo and got a couple of pair of TCX boots a pair of Black Waterproof S-Zero which are all day comfy like good pair of slippers and feel way more robust than the Sidi's and are watertight wore them on Tour of Scotland :D
Also a pair of White S-Race Air which are totally perforated to keep you tootsies cool on hot summer days! They are fab too but do squeak a bit, well squeak a lot! A wank in a army camp bed springs to mind!
But a wee rub down with KY... I mean WD and Bobs your knob! Your in stealth mode :D
Both really are great boots they don't get (Ride's Best Buy) for nothing ;)

The silicon lube you get with arai helmets also stop sidi's from squeaking! I got feed up of mine and got alpinestar SMX R's a few years back, very comfy and well made and still going strong

HAHA - yeah, ive done that too, arai lube for sidi boots - squeeky sidi's are embarrassing as you go into a fancy place for a cuppa - i always tell the posh diners that its my creaky knees from all the motorcycle accidents ive had.

You don't have to angle your toes out to look silly with your heels on the pegs lol

Would look very funny tho going down the road :D

I bought my wife a pair of Waterproof S-Zero Marion which she loves but like Sidi you do have to buy the next size up!
Oh I sold her Sidi's too! We personally feel the TCX are just a much better boot :D

Old thread I know, but a question about them boots Sinewave. I have those too and find getting the kickstand down is a nightmare with the bulky heel protector, do you have the same issue ??

I have those boots and use the inside of my toe, you don't want your heel smacking against things ;)

Inside of your toe ?? Hmmm I'll try that.
Don't have a problem with my other boots as the heel is more "ordinary" rather than the small sloped one on the sidi boot.
I just had a thought too, I wonder if the little pin/peg got bent last week when the stand sunk into the ground !!
Might cut it off and make a slightly longer one that extends level to the gearchange linkage

On inspection this morning, the pin/peg on the kickstand in bent like the barb on an arrow, which is why it's so difficult to catch !!
Some careful straightening today I think
