I think like any corner everyone has there own line and I probably loose a very small amount of time but do create work for myself as I have to then bring my bike over to the right to then get back on the racing line ,I do make the most of the straight approaching the right hander but that then means you run wide on the corner where as Scooby takes a tighter line(racing line) but would have to break earlier so he can tip in for the corner how much time is saved not a lot but scoobys line gives you less work to do setting up for the left hander in to the straight thats IMO anyway . I did similar at brands in to the hairpin (after paddock hill where I crashed)and was passing so many people as they were on the racing line and I went round the outside of the racing line and if your brave can pass a lot of people like this do this also a lot at shells pass people round the outside But the good thing for me watching it back is I can change things and I will start taking a tighter line see how it feels but I have seen a lot of Riders taking a wide line as it's a good passing section if you good on the brakes and the person you want to pass is on the racing line I am no expert and happy to change the way I ride to improve .(something else I want I work on is later braking)
Ive been chatting to Shakey Brynes to see if he could come and video me, not sure that the lads here would be able to keep up
i was taking my usual line, and should have shown the difference by passing onto start finish straight, but was fun following.
