Well Snettereton Round 6 i think ha ha .

Got there and set up with Mark as usual then cracking some tinnies and relaxed in the guess what sun couldnt believe it no wets all weeknd.

Went out for test day and tried to remember what way the track went around :D . i never really push on test day i dont wanna bin it before the racing but was getting there but was out with all the modern 600s that Mark races with they bloody shift along 1:55 on a 600  .

Went out for qualy we had a combines grid so 39 of us out from 400cc to 1000cc bikes of all ages but there is 2 zx10rs and 2 gsxr1000k3 so some newer stuff really .

I kept getting caught in traffic on qualy so tried to back off only to get overtook by slower riders i was a bit frustrated as a 10 min qualy around Snett isnt a long time . I qualy 23rd out of 39 bikes so it wasnt as bad as i expected.

Race 1 got a decent start and from the off i was suffering on the straights it just didnt have the grunt of other bikes so was making lkoads of mistakes trying to brake way to late into corners and not being smooth . i finished 18th overall and 5th in class .

Race 2 going into the big first right hander fast 4 th gear i tapped handlebars with someone which run us wide but it sort of got the anger in me and i rode a lot better finshing 14th overall 4th in class.

Race 3 Got my best start i reckon i was easily top 10 come into the first hairpin i heard the noise of scraping bike on tarmac guess who it collected yup me well my leg and boot dragged me and bike onto grass on near i was still upright on bike balls squashed on tank . I had to wait for the bike to stop and ride around it and i was close to the back of the grid and had a good but sore time for 12 laps coming through the pack but my leg knee ankle was getting worse so i plodded along i was going to pull in but points are points 5th in class dont know overall.

Race 4 I sort of chucked everything at this one which i should do from start and was keeping with the front pack . Crash on lap 8 i was fooked drained need to work on my fitness bike had dropped oil right on apex of corner across to the gravel. Our race was a full restart with 1 warm up lap and 5 laps . I didnt have it in me to push i was totally drained with some luck i got 3rd in class and 11th overall .

Really good weekend with Tyke Rob John Dunc and all the hottrax paddock

Only the 1 buddy 3rd 4th 2 x 5 ths me and Snett didnt really see eye to eye but had a cracking time and even some sunburn buddy . Badly losing out on the straights making mistakes to try and recoup time but im slowly getting there . On the red flagged race done a 2;06 so was chuffed with that . I mstill slow in the slow corners must be the highsides ha ha :D

i'd take those results :( must be tough on mixed grids to gauge how your doing.... does make it great in NL 1000's as you know every bike is similar matched - apart from the rider! ha....

know i'd be the same, over riding to try and keep up with a bike that you never will....

either way mate, great results and hopefully put some snet demons to bed :)

Well knockhill all I can is it's a bloody long way but well worth it

Test day was a sort of a blur waiting around to get out on track at 1 I didn't like so called it a day with tyke done 3 sessions and had a grass gravel moment at around 90 mph bit luckily kept it upright shite myself though .

Saturday was dry so put my new d212gp on and went out went round the first corner and thought come on lee head out arse get on with it . Got a few good laps in with a 20 min qualy it's a really really technical track and the wheelie in 6th over start straight is immense

Qualy 4th on grid overall 1st in class with a combined grid I was over the moon I wanted the race to come so bad and be dry .

Race 1 my main competitor on the day was Justin in same class he qualy in 6th and knew he was going to be hard to beat he is quick got a good start and the front 3 were gaping me and a couple of Scottish bikes come past then Justin came down the inside I had better drive got the place back this happened for 12 laps one of the best racing moments yet to date we both got same drive out of hairpin and we bashed handlebars 3 times down straight and run into each other at the wheelie point I got 1st in class Justin 2nd I could of cried ha ha we pulled on pits and just man hugged it out people were coming up to us saying brilliant riding commentator talked about the us most the race .

2nd race was near identical he come past but this time I stuck to him and knew where I was quicker and thought not going to knackered myself put do much and leave it until the last 2 laps to try on the 12th lap a red flag big crash with my mate on a zx10r being took out by a Scottish rider race was a result I was gutted but at same time another cracking race so I got 2nd Justin 1st .

3rd and 4th race on the Sunday were wet wet wet wet and horrible I can't get on with wets yet and Justin is known for his wet weather riding ha ha so I come away with 2x 2nds but he rides well in the wet so well deserved a really really good weekend 4 pots and 85 points taking me to 2nd in the championship

The last race was red flagged due to rain but we restarted but standing water not very nice but I come 5th overall so was happy

Me and YT are like brothers now ha ha good to see him at every round went for a really nice curry on Saturday with leeky mine and tykes Dad's and his brother really good laugh and of course a few beers

    Dry time weekend 57.11
    Wet time 62.
