Well oulton park WOW what a track but wish I would of had some time there never being there and how technical it is I struggled but I had a goal to get under a 2:00 min lap first time there . Qualy was manic didn't really get a clear lap in but wasn't too worried I got 24th out of 39 so not too bad but well back couldn't see start lights ha ha . First race I got a 7th in class lost 2 places last lap after missing gears and getting a false neutral gutted 2nd race I got a really good start went though middle of pack and followed Owen round for 3 laps until and felt really good missed a gear at hilltop couldn't get into gear didn't want to get in the way so took the chicane about 8-9 bikes went past I found a gear carried on but over 10k clutch was slipping so just short shifting and kicking myself Feel a bit dissapointed but got a 1:56 and think I would of gone a tad quicker if I didn't have issues but a cracking weekend with all my hottrax boys and girls thanks too many to mention but you know who you are your brill . Well croft amazing track amazing weekend tyke had his troubles bit jumped in with me on the Sunday . Qualy I was 20th out of 30 in the rain so wasn't that bad as I'm piss poor in the rain . Race 1 was wet so I had getting 3rd in championship was my goal so just stayed on the thing got a 3rd in class so happy enough . Race 2 drying bit damp patches everywhere decided to stick drys in which was the right choice but a little river running across a left kink was a arse clenching moment . 2nd in class . My clutch issues were making me not use QUICKSHIFTER as slipping in 4th and 5th but was rideable Saturday night beers beers and a curry with my team mate our dads and some friends cracking laugh . Sunday Yorkshire tyke came to play on a gixxer 600 from back of the grid Race 3 mark got a flying start and nearly took my leg off the fooker ha ha so I stuck with him he was pulling away in the fast stuff but I was catching him sunny in and sunny out and in the complex . He was dragging me around and we were passing loads and passing back makers his back end was all over the shop I was gonna dive inside on the hairpin but didn't wanna t bone my team mate and Id had a right laugh perfect our lap times nearly identical 1:35 I was chuffed to bits with that . Race 4 I got a stonking start and knew I had to give it some as after 3-4 laps I knew my clutch was gonna start going I went from 20th to 9th into first corner and done 3 cracking laps I could feel the back end spinning up coming out sunny out I was riding like I should of been all year loving it . Lap 4 total clutch slip every gear couldn't get power down I was gutted I was going to pull in but thought sod it few passed me and mark just gutted it went on my last race but I've had a fantastic season and got 3rd in the championship with 469 points . Big thanks to yorkshire tyke as he got me moving as I should be my lap time was 1:35:42 marks 135:46 brilliant time
I can't wait to be racing on track with you next season (although different class). Should be a right laugh.
