Rob's done a great job minimising down time. Another forum I used to go on would go offline for days or even weeks on end whilst they did an upgrade, and I heard the last one went so badly that whole sections are totally FUBAR'd.
Cheers for your patience everyone! I'm currently trying to work out what is causing the double post feature!
When it happens to me you click post and nothing happens, then you try and post it again and get the lockout timer so have to wait, then click post and it submits a duplicate post, now I know when the first post fails if you refresh the browser the failed post has been posted! However the browser did not automatically refresh and return to the page. Seems to do it in Safari, ipad and chome but randomly?? Good luck with that!
Rob, can I please say that I am getting used to the new site now and I admire your hard work. Thank you.
If you click on the tittle of the thread to enter it will take you as far as you last viewed or if you haven't prevously viewed it you would start at the first, if you click on the bit that says for example "2 mins ago" or "yesterday 18:20" this will take you to the last post.
Just a little bit of feedback from me, though this is probably more to do with the laptop I am using than the forum itself, but I've found that scrolling through the forum pages is quite stutter on a Mid 2012 MacBook Air with 4GB ram - it zips through all other websites that I throw at it so not sure why the new forum is stuttering, unless there is something going on at your end?
I tweaked a bit on the backend - can you let me know if its happening now? Seems buttery smooth to me now. Cheers, Rob.
I also fixed the 'Recent Posts' at the top of the Forum to show all recent posts, not just your new unread new posts.
