Nothing....been away all week playing grown-ups. I have to give credit when credit is due; one of my colleagues who has suffered my wind ups for years finally got his own back. I asked him for a heads up on the event as I couldn’t be bothered to read the itinerary, he told me that the final nights 'Gala' dinner was now smart casual dress code, I questioned it but he convinced me that a vote was taken last year and it was decided to relax the final event......into the bar I wander in black jeans and short sleeved shirt to find nearly 240 people in full blown suit and boot or cocktail dress. I could have gone back to my room to change but the damage had been done, stitched up like a kipper, and I was going to have to suck it up. I texted the lovely L and she summed it up in a two word reply ‘you twat’. As funny as it was my learned colleague knows he is a dead man walking forever looking over his shoulder for my retort, which he knows fine well, will come…and it will be of biblical proportion. The weekend is nearly upon us and I have a foul stinking cold, Strike that....man flu it is, proper man flu.
The missus has stolen my bike again to take to work today. Apparently when I put mine away last night it "is blocking her getting her 600RR out, and ooh the levers on the blade are nicer". Any excuse.
Yesterday. Cleaned both bikes, including full degrease of areas required. Both chains and sprockets cleaned. Both bikes polished to a showroom finish. Seat cowl fitted including magnet for alarm. USB charging socket fitted, and new Isle Of Man track map decals fitted.
Lol yeah really really good bike, learnt the most about riding quick on that bike. The blade is an animal in comparison tho!!!
Muffking's Oxford Tower of Terror has now been replaced with a Kreiga US30 (and hopefully a US20 too if I can find a reasonably priced one) and will be for sale shortly in the F/S section. I've also added new boots & brakes after using what was left of them on the Scotland trip.
Finally got round to giving the girl a good cleans as oppose to the wet hanky it normally gets! although I think I may be brainwashing my little lad too. see pic 2
I cleaned my bike! Seriously! Took blinking ages and I don't reckon it looks any different. And I put the original numberplate back on. Bikesafe this week and I don't want a right old tear up with the gavvers cos of my moody plate.
First - correct footwear. Man's gotta look sharp for a classy bike. Walking boots and gaiters. Gaitoots sounds wrong out loud. So bootaiters it is. Which sounds possibly worse.
