Went to Halifax to get head bearings, arrived late (poxy work) - mechanic (a mate) did not have 41mm socket so gave up, Home via here where I a brew then down to this Wish I had a proper camera with me not just the phone, but it didn't do too bad
Cleaned, Adjusted and lubed (Mucoff dry lube) my chain. Was going to wash it, but ran out of time... Lubed the clutch lever (Was getting a bit of a sticky point after the last clean. Must have washed the lube off the pivot). Feels a lot better now. Adjusted the clutch free-play Then for a highlight, I managed to burn my leg on the exhaust as I was putting it away while wearing shorts & barefeet. Arse. I keep forgetting it's by my calf & not under the seat any more... H
Took Blade for an MOT and it passed again, first time. Needed rear pads (advisory) so called into Hunts and got a set for a good price - cheers Neil for putting a bit of discount on them too
Good stuff - Fitted GiPro, fitted battery charge indicator LED, fitted R&G swingarm Protectors, fitted a wiring harness kit to get switched 12v supply. Bad Stuff - Lost the square nut from the one of the battery terminals, not idea what size etc or what damage it could cause if it still inside the bike frame somewhere. Couldn't find my adapter for my abba stand, suspect I took it for a ride after using it last time.
Changed oil and filter, cleaned air filter, cleaned, adjusted and oiled chain, lowered tyre pressures, put on track fairing, all ready for Monday track day now Tomorrow is a rest day in this heat, as up at 4am Monday morning Simon
Well it was yesterday, fitted my new goodies. Yoshi protectors. Thanks Si for the heads up, really like them but not sure the colours right on my bike so may change them to black or silver. Seat infills- Cheers Andy Wheels- Cheers Andy
I love it Mart, never used to wear earplugs but have got used to them now. Not sure my neighbours or anyone who lives in the surrounding villages like it as much as me though! Sure it will be part of the long awaited tour write up, but got pulled off the ring after two laps- 111dB at 6k!
Can't wait to see te callipers fitted and the view on improvement over standard- their lush, definitely on my wanted list
Just ordered a Brembo RCS MC and Brembo Resevoir kit. Don't tell Firebloke and Andy as when I am out braking them they won't know what happened.
J you can out brake me all day long if you want, ive just got two words for ya................................'knee down'
As Danny Dyer would say, 'This is wheel ewotica'. See what I did there? THESE WHEELS! They must be #amazeballs.
Dave - would it have been easier to just buy Andy's bike when he first advertised it! Those wheels were a bargain, be interested how much they change the handling of the bike - good thing with them is you will get your money back if / when you sell them on again
