did a trackday, then on the way home looked in my mirror and bike had gone, stopped jumped out and there it was flat across the trailer, feckin oxford strap had come loose.
Well....not strictly today...more over the weekend really... I changed all the chunky standard indicators for much more suitable LED ones ...including the resistors to sort the flash rate out I also changed the standard throttle tube for an HRC quick action race throttle I have a few other tasks to carry out when certain mail order parts arrive and will be posting them up as a progress report
Fitted a Brembo RCS MC and Brembo Resevoir kit and flushed through old brake fluid with New racing/track fluid which has a very high boiling point , changed brake fluid in the rear brake as well. Was going to put new racing pads on I have , but I want to feel the difference first with my old pads that are on,not test rode it yet but it feels awesome.
Jason are the Racing pads any good? I've heard that on normal road riding they don't heat up as much? I'm having same issue with the SBS Pads. Not getting enough heat in them.
Went for a blast to Stowmarket and got the front suspension internals swapped out and full setup at MCT. As everyone has said, great couple of blokes and did an awesome job. Not had a proper run yet but even on roads I didn't know felt great. Only bad thing I can say is in about 2mins Darren wiped out the little chicken strips at the edge of the rear I've been trying to get for a month or so Also picked up my seat cowl from post office curtiousy of PeterC which looks a bit out of place at the moment in white on my hrc but will sort it soon enough to have something a little different - thanks again for that
Looks good that mate. Quite fancy 1 of those now that I've seen it on a bike. Well done for being the guinea pig
I know Darren quite well..................mines sorta booked..............say's he needs it more than a day to fettle the front n rear and to just drop it off around his house (I can tell you now it's not going to happen!!,toooooooooooo many bends from his to his shop) I,ll need to buy some more rubber!
Sorted the battery after losing the nut on the weekend. Also fitted the cable for my cheapy battery charger, now need to get an SAE to Tamiya adapter for the solar charger so I can leave the seat on amd have it charge. Got a new abba stand adapter to replace the lost one. Went to fit the abba stand to program the GiPro and realised I had also lost the bit the adapter fits on to for the screw thread
Haha!! Brilliant! The road he suggested I go for a blast til I got bored didn't get boring, just found a large group of cars. May have to see where it goes one day Mine was quick and easy, mostly done by Tom who said he's just scratching the surface of setup but seemed perfectly happy stripping my bike and rebuilding. Makes me wonder just how involved it can get Now I just need to get a bit more confidence and learn to ride properly
Just ordered paddock bobbins and wheel rim stickers for the new bike coming ASV levers and tail tidy next
Took the bike to Willingham Woods to program the GiPro. Got there and someone told me my rear light was hanging off. What an end to a week. Also WW had more cars than bikes and was full of coffin dodgers on coaches. Not the best of days.
