Ordered a single seat cowl, a small hrc sticker for the top of it and found a site that does any name in Rossi style lettering so ordered 2 stickers with my initials for the screen
Took loose wheel and had ex Haslam BT023 fitted, worked out at £50 suppled, delivered and fitted which is somewhat of a bargain. Put bike back together after fitting power commander to take for dyno work / custom map in Warrington. Bike goes better but peak power only 150 and dropped as bike got hot - no problems reported but mechanics have suggested of blocked fuel filter gauze or chain and sprockets being in poor condition as the cause of problem. Bought new soft link for the chain and sprockets WeggieWolves supplied, I can take that to Spain and worst case have it fitted en-route (know a very handy dealer used last year on way down when Gixer snapped its chain) - very limited on time this week to get it fitted due to large work project.
Fitted new Dunlop GP Pro on the rear and cleaned & re lubed the chain while the wheel was off. Also changed the rear pads in order to stop the annoying squeal when on the back brake.
Fitted a Sigma slipper clutch, took about 2.5 hours overall including an oil and filter change as the bike is nearly at 6k miles. Tomorrow will go for a test ride and see what the difference is.
next time your over call in then still havent got round to doing mine, have to get it a good clean too as a mate is hosting a car/bike show and wants me to bring my bike too.....the best bit is its private grounds so I am going to see if I can get a used tyre fitted cheap as it might be an evening of burnouts and wheelies lol
Today I had a 2012 rear shock and Hel brake lines fitted to front and rear! All done by Arthurbikemad genuine top bloke, rear feels even better now and I chanced it by using the shock settings from my old shock set up by jhs.
fitted Active quick action throttle, instructions are useless but managed to work it out ok. Still waiting my adapter plates for removing rear footpegs
not as bad as I was expecting, removed the fuel tank to give an extra bit of room. It is a little awkward but once you have worked out what goes where it was ok.
Rode it for a change. Bloody love that bike. Although would have loved to have went further, as my mates went over the Rest And Be Thankful, up to Oban and Fort William, and god knows where after that. I had the kids to look after in the afternoon. Just great to get out on it for a short spin though.
I,m just back from a wee little holiday in your neck of the woods. Had a fantastic time on the roads. We found the "Scotsburgring" and the "Dukes Pass".....awesome roads ,so much so we did the Scotsburgring twice (clockwise) and the Dukes Pass 4 or 5 times (both ways..............7 miles with 90 bends). We did the Coast road from Oban and also did the road from the Green Welly to Glenncoe.............We're already sorting out next years holiday to Scotland! Where is the "Rest and be Thankful" ?
