Stimo the Jardine looks really nice, suits the bike. Like the Titanium spring Si1000Repsol, very nice.
Weather getting worse has given me the nudge I needed to get the stator sorted on the 929. Good service from David Silver exchanging it under warranty, bang on a year since it went last time. School boy error, miss read the torque setting. Lucky I got it out without any grief and had a spare from putting the Yoshi protectors on the RRA Next up is sorting the heated grips on it as they packed up ages ago, makes a huge difference having them riding through the winter.
Added a couple of '2 quid' buzzer to my indicators. Yes, they may turn out to be too annoying to live with (in which case I'll 'bin' 'em and pay £50:00 for a self-canceling gadget), but, they also may be juuuust audible at 70mph whilst wearing a helmet and changing lanes on the M-way. See/Hear 'em here:- Turn signal warning buzzer fitted to my CBR1000RR - YouTube
wots wrong with just seeing the green light flashing and then just cancelling it..or realising you have just changed lane / made a turning.. so must have indicated^^^
I used to have a bad habit of keeping them on.Have a habit now of pushing the cancel button after every turn.
Just had this pic sent to me. Its the oil cooler bolt in 7075 whish is an exact replica of the genune HRC item. It weighs 80 grams less (50 grams instead of 130 grams)
Took my bike to DWR Dave Wood Racing: Motorcycle Sales and Service: : Race Prep to have a custom map for my PCV done. Heard nothing but good things about Dave from one of my mate use to race against him in BSB, the KTM Superduke battle and RC8 Cup and from MOz on this forum. I have a Arrows slip-on and nothing else done, I installed the Dyno jet arrows map but as we all know they are never spot on (areas on mine needed up to 20% more fuel added to the map and my brothers needed 30% in areas for his CBR600RR) My bike would as was hunt on part throttle and was a bit snatchy on the pick up before the custom map, now it fuel perfectly with no hunting and it's seamless all the was through the rev range. The Blades already good mid range is even better now as well. Dave charges £120 inc vat to do a custom map, so if you've put off having one done so far, get it booked in sharpish.
Spent a few hours this afternoon in the cave showing some more love and getting the recently neglected 929 ready for its winter duties. First on the list was a new usb charging system for my phone etc Next up a new set of heated grips to replace the old HG items that had decided to pack up. Reasonably new out from Oxford, the V8 controller has intelligent heating and a BSM (batt save mode) feature, so no need for a relay to prevent a dead battery. Choice of grips as well, I went for the sport Had some grief getting the bar ends off, don't remember using high strength thread lock on the retaining screw but must have as had to cut them off! Dinner/ wife stopped play with left side grip still to sort.
collected Blade fri night after it had new head bearings fitted. Today removed wheels and dropped them off for new T30 tractor tyres to be fitted
I could nt do anything to her as she's in a cow shed at focused events depot in West Sussex !! But on Friday I gave her a quick wash !!
