Seems like BMW Motorad in Glasgow are sexist pigs then. Wouldn't give her a test ride despite agreeing to it yesterday. Didn't give any excuse either, and the test bike was in the middle of their showroom too, so obviously had no intention of giving her it. Even said to her "do you know how powerful this that thing is" ? Patronising twat. She went up on her 600RR as well. Told her to go back up on the blade, tell them you have just decided to keep your blade AND your 600RR instead of trading in for a nice HP4 and see what his reaction is. Can't believe some places are still like that. I mean if they even seen her ride, she is bloody well capable, and damn fast as well.
What a bunch of TWATS! We've got a few women in our sports-bike group (Knighton Road Bike Club.) and I don't think they expect any special treatment other than the peer-to-peer respect that we've all had to earn and maintain. In fact the best (as in, smoothest, swiftest and safest) of us, is, in my opinion, one of our women riders. BMW Motorads' (Glasgow) loss, I recon.
Or maybe one of there employees read this yesterday: Although theres no need for the patronising attitude by them.
Not the point though IG. Future reference and all that. If she liked it that much then likelyhood is she would have bought it. Totally agree Nicko. IG - Just noticed your line above the quoted one. Doubt it as they still seem to be living in the 1960's.
No way! I'd have something to say about that, do they have a Facebook page? I'd kick off something on social media about it if I were you, one of my lady customers has an S1000RR not that it matters, it's NOT that much more on than any other superbike but seems BMW think it's some kind of spaceship! My customer would go off her head if she was treated like that also she is fast as on that bike, faster than most blokes will ever be, but that's years of track riding for you! Oh I do hate how these sales plebs form such assumptions, bet he can't even ride for toffee too!
I think you get a lot of this in any dealership to a certain extent which is a shame as customer service should be the key not personal opinion
Had another cracking day out n about visiting Speedway Tracks to raise awareness of Haemophilia Society Covered 582 miles in the day and visited Scotland ta boot! All in all a cracking couple of days in the saddle and 800+ miles boxed off no sweat! Result!
I would write to HQ-BMW UK and complaint about BMW Glasgow and their behaviour ! This is also a discrimination and I would write that as well. Just make it public...
Am gonna see what they are like with me on Saturday mate. However the complaint will still be made, either in writing or in person.
Seen my old blade kicking about. Spoke to salesman at the bike show on Sunday too and he said it went back to Glasgow. And the guy still hasn't turned up on this site yet. FFS !!!!
Had another morning out. Collected 2 Speedway Circuit photo's Workington and Fleetwood. Best news is 180 miles to a tank of fuel light came on at 158.9 Happy Days!
OUTSTANDING! So much for those peeps that say you can't do more than100 miles on a sportsbike without it crippling you.
This is for those peeps with the fancy carbon and anodized goodies you add to your bike, I added this £4 part to my bike today, and looks sh*t but i tell you what it stops my wrist hurting. I love it lol
