I liked it much more than the 1199. In my opinion its better to ride if you want to ride it every day. The LCD looks like from 20 years ago and the engine heat boils your........... I truly dont know why people like these bikes at all. They might be good for track days and short trips but not for anything else. You have to keep the engine always over 6000 rpm otherwise there is no power at all and you think that you are sitting on a concrete mixer. Have a test ride and let me know what your think about it......
Breakfast in the garage Had an Empty house ( first time in ages) had breakfast in the garage and look what happened! The passenger pegs fell off
Numbers fitted, new dunlops fitted (KR106/KR108) and the front tyre is a apparently a moto2 tyre now? Its a 65 profile instead of 70 and theres like no edge to it, it just keeps going round. Also ended up throwing a new right clipon tube in as found out the old one was a bit bent when I felt it a bit off centre. All good to go. The view, aint much in there is there!
I doubt it for track days as road bikes wouldnt have them but theyre required for racing or you wouldnt pass scrutineering! Same as the tail light for wet races
Pretty sure the guard isn't compulsory with no limits? Will check. But put one on just in case - as they look trick lol Also didnt know about the light! Thanks for the heads up - will also check that! Oh and bike looks mint dude
Thats the chinese ones, theyre more than decent for the job and the same as the dearer ones sold here. Like pazzo/chinese levers. Cost me £18 for 2 but just takes longer to arrive. Not racing in NL as im doing irish superbikes so couldnt comment. Wouldnt hurt firing one on all the same as im sure itll be required at some point!
Couple new additions. Changed the silver sub-frame for a black one and fitted the tank side panels after getting them colour coded.
. That is a good idea Andy. Honda obviously fit those horrible, nasty cheap plastic 'in-fills' to keep the 'cost-per-unit' down. The (costly) alternative being to paint them to suit each individual colour scheme on offer for a particular model year. Carbon Fibre alternatives can be found on ebay for about £100.00 and those were going to be my next upgrade on my '11 HRC bike but I never thought of painting them. Would probably cost a 'bomb' to do mine. But, one way or another, they have to go. Nick.
The black does make it look a lot nicer than the silver subframe & swing-arm... But I might be biased H
They were painted by Dream Machine Race Paint. They didnt want to paint the plastic standard panels so I bought carbon replacements and sent them down to be painted. It cost me £144 to be painted on top of buying the Carbon. The panels being Carbon fibre dont fit perfectly but I still think it is a major improvement!!! Andy
You can get a 2014 Blade with black chassis, swingarm and subframe. Here is a picture of a 2014 Tricolour.
