Changed the gearing to 'race setup' and bled the brakes with decent oil so hopefully I can change gears without blowing the gearbox and stop next time I get the R6 on track at Silverstone :roll eyes:

Next job is to fit some breather capture bottles and repair the fairing properly

    Maintenance

Cleaned both front brake calipers and got all the pistons moving freely again. New bendix pads in for good measure. Then did an oil and filter change. Feel very proud of myself.

Is there a way of doing it without removing all the fairing? Also, are you seriously supposed to remove the header so the oil from the filter doesn't drip all over it?

Now finished the decals but may have replace the top two stripes on the tank as they are a bit crap !!
Have a GPR damper, a QS and an upgraded rear shock to fit at some point.

    Hi Guys
Gave the bike a good clean today ready for next ride out.
Plus ordered new tyres from Tyreleader, gone for the pilot road 4s after good advice from the lads on this forum, gone for the 55 profile on the rear ,spaced the rear hugger up a bit as Sinewave mentioned it could foul the hugged due to the higher profile, will let you know how it works.
    Cheers Stu

Picked the nose cone up today.
All done and IMO an amazing job, Steve even touched in the stone chips.

Took a while, but I was prepared to wait as he was prepping a fair few bikes for some racing on an island that's going on around now?

    Anyway.....

    Finished reesult.

Well happy, just need to fit it, cos I'm going to give it a go on Thursday :)

Watched Motogp qualifying at mugello, about to try and sleep as the noise of chain saw engines and anything else the mad Italians can get their hands on to make a noise, eg scooters with no exhausts racing around or them holding their bikes on the rev limit, which they never tire of !! Lol ,
    Mental, just mental.

Role on the race tomorrow !!

    Woohoo I'm a lucky lad !!

That's why when you look on the back of the shampoo bottle it's says to test on a small patch first
May cause fading, dullness to paint or shrinkage
