Finally px'ed it, now ABS free....feel sort of liberated at last. 1st Blade I have owned where I have actually been glad to see the back of it, always been sorry to see the others go.
It does but hard to describe exactly? Without the baffle fitted the bike hunts on tick over, and all I can hear when riding is the the can. With baffle in I get the the noise from the can and I can still hear the engine. When you shut the throttle it doesn't bang like my SP1 more of a burble and tick over is smooth.
2014 non ABS Blade, tried a few others, and although I am pissed with Honda UKs lack of care to their customers, bottom line is that it ticks all the boxes for 12 months a year use. Basically my luck was soon gonna run out, and it was not worth dying on it to save a few bob trading up. Riding an ABS Blade is like playing Russian roulette with a loaded gun, it may get you in the end.
Sounds like a wise move to me Kentblade. Biking is dangerous enough as it is, reliable brakes is er shall we say......pretty important. Enjoy the new one.
Yep, if only Honda had has much class as some of their dealers like H, the world would be a better place
Yeh she is fine Marion, thanks. This is the damage, which isn't very much at all. Strange that the bike was all greasy though, all over it, really strange. Engine case slider is scraped too, but she stayed under the bike to minimise any damage.
Ordered the bits and bobs I've put safe (and now can't find) plus a few bits I'd ditched previously thank you that'll be £76 and bought a new road legal akrapovic titanium anniversary edition exhaust to bolt onto the Ti Evo headers that are on the bike £££££
well technically not today (was yesterday) but finished fitting the Brembo M/C's and relocated my heated grips control unit.. went for a thrash tonight, very impressed with the brake M/C.. and I thought my old honda M/C was good! might be an element of going from short to long levers as well in there. Clutch side the old fluid was manky.. so the clutch feels light as a feather now - again the longer lever may be fooling me. Overall, well chuffed and I hate to say it, but I'm kinda liking buying these Ti bolts - I suspect I may neeeeeed more!
What Brake master is that one I know its a Brembo is it the RCS19? 18-20 adjustable?. Cheers Raymondo
Not today but changed the map in in the PC3 to the supplied Akra one to replace the supposed custom map which is labelled as being for an Arrow. Will see how it performs at Blyton on Friday, will get wife to bring laptop just in case!
