They do not 'officially' come in orange but will make them if asked. The idea was simply that if you have a Repsol Replica then it made sense to also use replica wheels. I have Michelin Power pure tyres on the Marchesinis. It makes the bike much more agile in terms of quick steering and easy to control (not that it was bad before!) With the wheels, tyres and Titanium parts (like spindles) have shed kilos of unsprung weight .
I like the Marchesini, keep thinking I'll get them as I know the Brembo caliper and bracket says fits marchesini wheels only, it would be hassle free no machining or anything of the bracket to fit other wheels. Just wondered as I know they are not the lightest out there what diff if any they made. Cheers
I am not sure if they are much heavier than the competition and Honda TT Road Race team have adopted them this year Well according to the promotional material for the Magnesium version (Bearing in mind the 2012-14 wheels weigh more!) HONDA CBR1000RR (08-11) M7R Genesi Weight 7,89 Kg OEM wheel weight 10,73 Kg Weight difference in Kg 2,84 Kg Weight difference in % -26% And the Aluminium Version HONDA CBR1000RR (08-11) Genesi Weight 8,98 Kg OEM wheel weight 10,73 Kg Weight difference in Kg 1,75 Kg Weight difference in % -16%
I fitted a new exhaust guard to my bike.. more hassle tonight cutting the guard as it didn't fit with me having Gilles rear sets.. All the marking paint for cutting now off thats in the picture
Rear caliper bracket just arrived from Webike Japan , just waiting for the Brembo HPK CNC rear caliper now . Im always waitng for parts to arrive, bike websites dont stock the parts on there websites an have to order them ! Rear Brembo Hpk caliper is coming from Omnia racing Italy as no import to pay .
Fitted this today and decided to take the bike out a spin to try it out. Barp Barp Barp Barp Damn this thing is good
Very nice. Was it easy enough to set up or are you still fine tuning? Also, how much was it for the full setup? If you don't mind me asking. I'm hoping to get a HM in the next month or two. Thanks. Andy B
It was easy to set up yes, as I managed to get settings from another member and they are spot on. Price wise unfortunately there is not much give on these as they are a new product and I'm sure HM actually hold the prices. Let's just say my other half will never find out how much it actually cost You can either phone up HM direct for a price, or try our very own Arthur for a price.
