Rear master actually seems pretty good had a little play with it today, I would say better than OEM. No I meant "not feeling it" as in riding a 1000 on the road really or the love of riding a bike on the road not sure which one.
Oil and filter change on all three blades, new front pads on the track bike ( thanks giv ) and on Marions. gave all three a wash, went mad and polished the bloody things too !!!
I've lost a tooth..... on my front sprocket Gone from a 16T down to a 15 even through the back is already +2, should be interesting now I'm using it on track more and more. This is definitely one of those jobs that takes longer than it should, but at least it was an excuse to clean all the crud from the housing. Just got to adjust the chain and test ride it. Should be like a new bike again
you will enjoy on track, I also run a -1 +2, its pulls well and yes its amazing how much crud you get in there
Been a busy day. Now i've got some new boots. Supercorsas for the track, plus my PR4's for the road. Still gonna fit the SC's though then i can ben them in on the road. Anyone for some Racetec scrubs
For the supercorsas or the Racetecs The supercorsas cost me £280 delivered. I'll be advertising the Racetecs for £100 inc delivery.
Both SC2 on the recommendation of TDR based on them heating up quicker than SC1 and having a wider operating temperature range. I'm gonna have to curb my spending though as i've just replaced my compressor this evening too. Still, at least i won't get stuck for blowing my tyres up again
funnily enough I changed some tyres but,i also dragged out my project bike to start to put it back together. it's not a blade,or Honda in fact, although it does have a couple of Honda parts....
Thought most went for soft front and medium rear? Now I am even more confused about bloody tyres lol So SC1 front SC2 rear not the way to go then? I have soft front and medium rear on my Dunlop D212 was that a bad choices? Tyres are starting to seem like the same black art as suspension to me lol
I had to read up on it before ordering to understand it, but at my level there's no benefit of a softer compound front that takes longer to get the heat in to make it softer. An SC2 front on the other hand is softer than an SC1 when cold, but warms up faster to be almost as soft as a hot SC2 and therefore has a wider operating temperature range. That's the theory anyway. As for the rear, you work the heat into these easily anyway, so an SC2 is still the way to go.
Dunlops hate me so i'm selling my D211 scrub. People do rave about that and the D212. Both should be every bit as good as your existing ones and even better once hot. I think the reason why people dont always use slicks, apart from resale value, is because they are harder to get & keep hot. Once you get red fagged or are waiting to set off you lose a lot of the heat, where as treaded tyres create more friction and get hotter, quicker.
Been a little lazy around the bike cleaning front of late, partly due to being so busy at work. So thought I'd best sort it out. First up the wife's monster Then the RRA that has been left in the garage since we returned from the tour Looking a little sorry for itself To this I'll ACF and finish and refit the fairings the weekend. After around three years the venture shields looking sorry do itself, anyone recommend a decent supplier of kits?
Gave the girl a good was and polish, then sorted out my gear change rod so that it isn't all floppy and finally had a play with some new nose graphics i made....decided i didn't like them and took them off again! still bikes shiny lol
