Fitted my first ever heli coil to sort a partially stripped mirror socket. Also checked the air filters, ok but could do with a blow through. Had a small amount of fluid, probably petrol but forgot to check it, come out the drain hose when I tipped the tank back. Nearly gave me puppies

Then went made with cable ties in prep for putting new fairing in.

Put it back on its stands and replaced the dust cover.

According to the weather forecast and the app on my phone last night the rain wasn’t due until 10:00am this morning.

So, I set the alarm and got up early this morning, weather was ok, even looked like the sun was coming up, checked the weather app again, yep same as last night. An hour or so of happy riding on empty roads it is then. Made a cup of ambition, unlocked the garage, removed the dust cover, dropped the Pani down off its stands and did all the normal pre-flight checks.

I went back into the house for a quick shower, another coffee whilst wriggling into my one piece and got ready to go. Then I noticed the wind was picking up and dark clouds looming, bollocks. That’s that then. It’s been pissing down now for the last hour and half.

I wouldn’t mind but it was a cracking day yesterday, but due to other commitments the bike stayed in the garage.

Oh well. House cleaning with a sulky face it is then.

Titanium screen bolts. I fitted a double bubble screen recently and like a muppet lost the nylon and rubber washers for one of the bolts so it was an excuse to buy a set of titanium bolts. At the time I made a little washer out of cardboard so I didn't scratch the fairing. What do you know? When I went to Whiteways last Sat it was the first thing that Steve (sps170373) commented on!

And because new bolts isn't proper work I replaced the lower wishbone bushes on my Golf

Fitted new gear selector and link rod to replace the bent bits from my off.

Also fitted new HRC Tank Pad to new tank, and moved TechSpec gripsters from old tank to new.

    .

Made a better bracket for my satnav. It's nicely in my sight-line now and well away from my GoPro which used to make it shut down if they were too close.

Was on a roll so I re-placed my LED's with brighter ones. I've already introduced an on/off switch into the low beam circuit so I don't have to ride around on a 'one-eyed' 'blade.

    Just love my 'blade.

No mate. That's a device called a 'SATNAV'. It's a very clever little digital gizmo that helps you locate your destination with great precision and has made paper maps almost totally redundant. Have you not got them in Scotyland yet? :D:D:D
