Sorry Bryan... She er misses you ! Like hell she does lol. She's pissed at you for dumping her for a zthou. She loves me Tho Hope your well mate
Good lad, no point in fitting something that might let you down, it would be bit of a pain if you had to strip her down again
Nice collection there, my friend in whitby has got a very nice RC45, he paid 17K for it about 5 years ago. it lives in his living room. Ill try and sort out a piccy.
Hi these blanking plates for the air injection. How do they help with the dyno set up. Would my track bike benefit by installing. Cheers
Pair valves, you mean ?! They are an emissions control and stick nasty dirty air back into the air box instead of poisoning the wildlife too bad, or something like that... Best binning anyhow dude
Your thinking of EGR (exhaust gas recerculation), PAIR/SAS takes clean filtered air from the airbox and enters it into the exhaust just after the exhaust valve the air helps to ignite part burnt fuel causing it to burn and thus reduce emissions Dyno wise no more power but saves the agro of having to block the system for dyno, if not blocked the dyno reads the air and gives a false AFR. Blocking also stops popping on over run with after market exhausts, the popping is the air igniting fuel.
Col you should bin all the road crap including Pair and water bottle etc and flappers in your air intake tubes if its staying a dedicated track bike.
Sexy Brembos Certainly look the buisness, very nice but do you actually get much better stopping power ?
The standard calipers have 32/30 on each side these have 32/32 and are a derivitive of the M4 and so coupled with a 19/18 Brembo master cylinder the answer is yes. These calipers also have pinless pads so easier pad changes. Nothing wrong with the standard calipers tho'.
those the gixer brembos?, do you need anything special to fit or do they go straight on. My OEMs are looking quite manky and could do with an upgrade.
Well, I have been busy this weekend - managed to get the manky old rear disc bolts out and replaced with some lovely shiny titanium ones instead. The downside to doing this however is that I am now eying up all the other bolts on the bike and thinking how much nicer it would be if they were all shiny and titanium... mmm.... As well as that, fitted the PCV which turned up on Friday afternoon - obligatory (slightly scary looking) pics: Panels off... (and yes, the bike is in the living room again!) Tank off and blanket thing off, looking quite scary (for me) now... (and at this point, I managed to dribble a bit of V-Power from the fuel line on the living room floor - managed to vent the room enough before the girlfriend returned however for her not to throw a fit!) All back together and running (phew) and looking like a race bike, laptop hooked up So far, I am very impressed with the improvement in smoothness and throttle response. Admittedly I haven't ridden the bike 'properly' yet, but so far so good. Flat spot in the mid-range seems to have disappeared too. Still idles a little lumpily, but not the end of the world in the grand scheme of things.
