Was looking at one of these & it sounds nice m8, i opted for a scorpion RP-1 GP should be here next week
looked at blade today, imagining all the bits fitted. Then got angry as having to wait for delivery so put cover back on & went in for a brew. might go for a blat to box hill tomorrow morning just to blow cobwebs & to grab some lubrication from dobles honda on route
I got lucky with the Mivv, I got it for £170 from some dude in Spain, he'd not even registered the warranty
Took mine out today for a blast to see how it's running with the Mivv, needs the map sorting as I had to use more revs to pull away but once she's singing, holy cow i'd forgotten how fast this bugger accelerates. Got it booked in next weekend for new map on PCV, new rubber (M7RR's) and new chain and sprockets (-1 on the front) then i'm done spending on it (i think) bring on the sunshine!
its always nice when u get a touch like that, was a bit worried about power mid range loss but looks like it came with the flowing link pipe. how does it feel when feeding in power? !!better to read thread before replying lol once map'd, will sort out that low down issue enjoy
I don't know if it's just my brain that needs recalibrating due to being off the bike all winter, but it's pulling really well once it's going engine braking was spot on too. Hopefully the flatness at set off will be sorted next weekend. The only other problem i have to deal with is my mate is getting the new R1
i was a yammy man but Once the mrs found out it was £15k odd there was never a chance of me getting it, so went for used blade for something different. Quiet like the midrange on this, a lot of modern bikes losing that for top end rush. Apparently the new R1 no different but tech on it sounds amazing just like new S1000rr & panigale. will be interesting to see what honda does next year V engine or loads of tech ??
The link pipe has gone off for modification, the new can was to suit the standard system but I have the full micron so the pipe splits in different places, it should be sorted for monday
Started the task of removing rear pegs and fitting the Webike hooks (£57inc del & customs). Thought I'd give them a go considering my bike is an ABS, and the SATO hooks for ABS are £131! Splitting the subframe wasn't as bad as I was expecting tbh - didn't take me long and the hooks themselves fit fine. I doubt the right rear peg will fit the hook tho due to the ABS gubbins. I'm not too worried as all I really want the hooks for was an option for tie downs for when I fit rear luggage. Should look a lot better once the bike is back together
Got out yesterday and feel alive again down the A272 down Alton bypass and enjoyed it so much went back down it again not warm enough to go banging into bends but great to get out went pass in S1000rr maybe the electronics working overtime good job no R1 out yet can't wait until there are as they all focus on the lean indicator and correct set up can't be bothered with all that .
Picked up a Brembo HPK caliper and underslung adapter bracket which came off a K8 GSXR 1000 Trial fit okay but needed a reducing bush for axle mount, needs 2.5mm machined of the rear (raised face) and 2.5mm of slide mount then she will be on! Oh better order new longer Hel brake line. Do I drill and tap underneath of swing arm for P-Clip mounting Hmmm?
