Lol , worth it but m8, saw your post and thought thats a super job so nows the time as i have side fairings removed changing all the fluids and giving front side of engine a good degrease, waiting for rad guard to come as well to tidy up adiator as well as protect it but my pipes look badly browned so best get at them lol
Modded the main beam HID same as I did the dipped yesterday. Fairings back on, just the screen left to do. Put some rubber sheath around the rear brake hose, probably going to run with it as it is until I get dosh sorted for a new one.
Took the road Blade for it's MOT this morning which free'd up space to get the track bike out for some work before Snett next weekend. Spot the difference (BoroRich should get this) Before After
Got it in one Done both, which is a job mentioned in Rich's post about the HRC rear brake reservoir post. Done it to the road bike too, but this one has no exhaust cover either, so that hangar's gone too.
Just an angle grinder with a 3mm cutting wheel. Then smoothed it down with the grinder and painted over it in black.
Warmers on to test, especially after getting caught out with cold tyres before. Test ride bike, feck, the slipper clutch is slipping, see thread http://1000rr.co.uk/index.php?threa...ble-setting-up-of-sigma-slipper-clutch.24225/
Lifted tank, removed airbox and intake duct. Then removed the following: Also check the spark plugs whilst I was in there... all looking good! Obtained a mint condition air duct from a scrappers, so I can set about removing the flapper from mine, and some general "adjustments" with a stanley, 1mm polyprop sheeting, and super glue!!!
