Torqued up the new brake and clutch hoses. Bled the lot of them, well except for the front which for some reason is being a sod. It's OK if I have the lever on 6, but crap down at 3. Think I'll get the missus to give me a hand tomorrow and do it the old fashioned way as it doesn't want to work with a vacuum pump.
Stuck my vacuum pump back in the box and did mine the old fashioned and for good measure tie wrapped them open overnight.
She should be good for backing into corners now as original is crap, looks the part too.....very nice
Some Rubber on my freshly powder coated wheels! Brake Discs on, new Pads, Evans coolant done! and others bits and pieces. A few ticks off Boxes! Tomorrow get the wheels in, Bleed Brakes and tick some more boxes.
Went out yesterday to take the rear foot pegs off looked at it for ten minutes then bottled it made an excuse it was to cold I'll try again some other time.
Further to the Harris paddock stand plates got the paddock stand in use and replaced the old paddock stand bobbins with swing arm sliders.
Took off the SP Quickshifter in readiness for it going in to have the Bazzaz kit fitted, fitted a new Pipecross air filter whilst I was on.
Just rode it.......simples ! First cobweb blowing session of the year and a shakedown cus the wheels have been apart.........brake judder now so sum fin int quite right......bugger
Forgot to mention, Went to take the bike for a test run only to find the battery was flat. So I cut the bloody grass
Wheels on! New Pads in! Went to fit new caliper bolts and are 10mm to long and bottom out BALLS!. You pay a arm and leg for these and they don't even fit! But getting closer to the end.....
Yesterday I took off my Harris levers and fitted ASV levers in there place. Today I took my 2012 Balance free shock off my 09 in readiness for it to get the KTec treatment
Brakes were fine today, but there was a bit of seepage around a bleed nipple so will have to double check tomorrow. Put some stickers on the bike, don't know if they are going to stay though.
Rebuilt my calipers, and refitted to the bike. Then set about bleeding them using my funky bleed hose with a non-return valve in it. Wasn't working like it did last time, couldn't work out why, then as I squeezed the lever a little more the bleed hose broke apart and sprayed brake fluid everywhere. Its on the tyres, discs, exhaust, my jumper, my face, forks, etc....... Turns out the valve had seized or got blocked whilst its been sat in the garage...... balls!
